Great resort! Have seen my share of resorts over the years and this one checked most of my boxes- Good food Attractive dining spaces with outdoor options Very nice pool Friendly staff Beautiful beach Comfortable clean room I have no complaints. I would just add a few suggestions: Dinner reservations Making reservations for restaurants was challenging- a lot of people do this prior to arrival making it hard to get one. With that said- we had 3 over 10 nights- we were fine with that Towels Housekeeping often did not leave clean towels Those cute rocking chairs on the porches - are so uncomfortable! Did anyone try them before ordering for the whole resort?! Lol!? It’s a great resort- loved it, the beach, the grounds, the animals! Would go back in a heartbeat despite the hard porch chairs.…
We had an amazing stay at the Westin Playa Conchal. Everything was lovely, and everyone was beyond helpful. The rooms are beautiful, with a Britt coffee maker and a great mini bar. We loved every meal we ate!! The pool is beautiful but the beach is amazing. We spent each day on the beach and had a wonderful time! We booked a few activities with Erik G- he was resourceful, prompt and helped us book surfing with the best teacher in Tamarindo! He will help you find fun activities. We loved our stay at the Westin and can’t wait to come back and visit again next year.
Just finished an amazing 10-day stay in sunny/hot Costa Rica. We opted to stay at the Westin to be close to one of the world's top 30 beaches and have amazing excursions and experiences right at our finger trips. The facilities were clean, beautiful, and full of wildlife. The beaches were beautiful with staff available to carry down lounge chairs and umbrellas for you. There is no waiter service on the beach so you will need to walk back and forth for drinks, snacks, etc. If you are looking to experience the true beauty of Costa Rica you can find Erik G (blue shirt) right on the beach who can set up any excursion you are looking for. We did 4 of them and each one was magical. The pools were refreshing and the swim bars have an amazing staff. Arrive early if you want to find chairs in the shade. Don't let the title "Family" side fool you. Had we known it meant full service at the pool and rooms closer to the beach we totally would have reserved in that section. Reservations at restaurants are a must. We were able to book them prior to our arrival with the concierge via email. So many restaurants to select from and each was great. Bring plenty of sunscreen and a hat as it is definitely hot and sunny here. Perfect location to get away from your daily stress back home. …

Overall the westin conchal was spectacular and will definitely be seeing me again TIP: don’t book activities in advance…
We recently stayed at the westin conchal. Resort was absolutely fantastic, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. There was plenty to do and the pools were awesome. We booked a couple excursions through vendors on the beach, Eric Garcia was very helpful and the tours he offered were AWESOME. He went above and beyond to make sure we had an excellent experience. Overall it was a great vacation!!
Eli Mark Memorable week spent at the Westin all inclusive. Our top 3 best vacation for sure. We loved the resort and all it's amenities, staff, food and our rom was comfortable. The beach is superb and virtually empty early morning and after sunset. Make sure you book tours in advance so you can plan your week as you desire. We found Conchalfun and Andrei to be an amazing company to work with. We did the rio celest all day tour to see sloths, we also went fishing and caught a rooster fish wich we will never forget and also did the ATV zip line combo. All tours were impecable with timing and the guides were fully bilingual and charismatic. Blue shirt guy kept nagging me all day every day pointing at his shirt and super glad we just booked in advance and just relaxed the while time at the hotel. Costa Rica is amazing country do not hesitate to explore outside the resort you will be left with a taste for more.…
My family just spent 6 days/5 nights at the Westin Guanacaste~! 2 adults, 2 kids (ages, 7 & 10) and grandparents in their late 70's ....Well... well.. well. Let me start by saying the property is awesome! Beautiful... very well kept. The lobby is nice and open, check in was easy and there's a bar in the lobby to start off your trip with a nice drink after traveling. From there we were taken by trolly to our room, we have 2 rooms both on the 1st floor. One facing the golf course and the other facing the trees. Rooms are nice and big, have a stocked fridge with waters and soft drinks. Transportation is always readily available to take you around the property. (Food options) We ate breakfast every day at Mitra, nice buffet and plenty of selections. No issues there. We had lunch at either Mitra, Spirula for lunch serves to go Pizza's (the avocado pizza is delicious, the BBQ pizza was good too and the veggie one was just ok). Those are the ones we tried. We also had lunch from the grill by the pool, we had burgers, hotdogs and the kids had chicken tenders and fries. Decent for a quick lunch. For Dinner we did Mitra Dinner Buffet a couple of nights. It's good and plenty of choices, but I couldn't imagine just eating there an entire stay more than 3 nights. Because, well.. it gets boring after a few nights of back-to-back dinning there. We dined at 3 specialty restaurants. Bamboo - which was a favorite of mine. Service was the BEST from all the restaurants. Spirula for Dinner - it was just ok, service was slow and food was ok, Then we went to La Sabana/steakhouse. This was the best one for us and service was good. I must say the only downside to this resort is making the dinner reservations. Nearly impossible for us to get this straight and we are Platinum Bonvoy members! (Resort) Main pool is huge. Plenty of chairs and everything is clean and well maintained. There are Ping-Pong tables and pool tables near the pool. There's a kids club we didn't use because my kids thought it catered to a younger kid age group. The beach is GORGEOUS!!! nice swim up bar and plenty of servers at the bar to get cocktails. (Highlights) The monkeys on the resort! So much fun to wake up to monkeys on the trees right in front of our rooms! We saw them constantly and sometimes they were crossing the street right in front of us. The Coites are adorable too and all throughout the property. The birds and wildlife are fun for kids and adults! (TOURS) Prior to our trip I read reviews about Erik Garcia, an independent tour person that is right on the beach. Because of his awesome reviews, I got in contact with him weeks before my trip. I had some questions and needed ideas of what I can do with our party of 6 that included children and older folks. He was nice, speaks English and is very reliable and honest. Upon arriving I found him on the beach and chatted with him a few minutes. We agreed to do a tour that included a short hike, waterfalls, hanging bridges and mud bath with hot springs. He told me to meet the guide in the lobby the next morning and so we did. We had a wonderful guide that was friendly, safe driver and took us and brought us back - the tour was exactly as described. We also booked the horseback riding on the beach thru Erik. That was phenomenal too! We also needed transportation to Tamarindo, to check out the town and have lunch. That was also quickly arrange with Erik. He is the best! Overall, this hotel is an excellent choice. I would go back and I would recommend. …
We throughly enjoyed our stay at the Westin, the food was excellent and the staff is amazing! ! We had a great excursion with Erik G on the beach,he wears a blue shirt with his name on it.. Erik booked us a customized tour with Brian who is phenomenal, he is so knowledgeable and excited to show the animals in Costa Rica. We hiked to a waterfall saw a monkey, poison frogs, sloths, water falls, and the coffee experience was so fascinating to learn and see first hand how it is done! All around it was absolutely amazing and I would highly recommend!!!
We just returned from a wonderful 10-day vacation at the Westin Reserva Conchal. It was our second trip here, and once again the Westin did not disappoint. What an amazing hotel. We were greeted with such kindness, and this continued throughout our stay. We stayed in Tower 1 in the Westin Club area. The room was comfortable and clean and we loved spending time on the large deck. We enjoyed all of the restaurants, and the service was top-notch. We can't say enough great things about the incredible staff. We were thrilled to once again be under the care Javier, our concierge. He provided impeccable service to us on both trips. We received fantastic service from our other concierge's Kenny and Bergen as well. They were very attentive and took care of our every need and want. The entire concierge team is fantastic. Jovan and Josellin were the GM's on duty during our stay. They always greeted us by name and with a warm smile and went above and beyond to ensure we were happy and enjoying our time. Three servers stood out and provided an exceptional customer experience for us. Dayanna Ortiz was our server at several restaurants over our vacation. She always greeted us with the biggest smile and ensured that we had everything we needed and that we were enjoying the meal. She radiates pure joy and exemplifies Pura Vida. Vinicio and Brian at the Imperial Bar took care of us each evening and it was wonderful to get to know them. They remembered our favorite drinks and always had them ready when they saw us walk in. They greeted us by name every day and provided a great atmosphere for us to have fun. They knew when it was our last night of vacation, and they came out from behind the bar to shake hands and give hugs and wish us safe travels home. The resort is beautiful with impeccably kept grounds, and it was such a treat to see the howler monkeys, birds and iguanas every day. Everywhere we went, we were greeted with smiles and 'Hola's'. The vibe is one of pure peace and it truly feels like paradise. Thank you Westin Reserva Conchal for an exceptional vacation - we can't wait to be back soon. …
We had a great stay at the Westin. The resort is spread out nicely and restaurants and shops are very accessible. We saw lots of adorable monkeys, coatis, and iguanas on property. We had delicious food at all their restaurants but be sure to make reservations upon arrival. The beach is beautiful and there are plenty of things to do here. If you want to do something outside the resort, the person to go to is Erik G in the blue shirt and hat who can easily be found on the beach. You can’t miss him and he can help you book quality excursions. My daughter and I booked an excursion with him to see sloths in the wild, hike to a beautiful waterfall, tour a coffee and cocao plantation that included an amazing lunch at a local restaurant. Erik also offers other fun and adventurous excursions like zip lining, catamaran, etc. Highly recommended!…
