On a whim...a recommendation from someone at our home town dress shop mentioned Ricks name. We followed thru asking questions, planning our trip. Rick helped us with our entire itinerary. Playa del Coco is a busy beachfront town, Rancho Armadillo property is above all the busyness no traffic noise at all. Wide open airy areas to eat, talk, play cards,...

My most recent visit to Rancho Armadillo was after a several-year gap. I have to say that it didn’t disappoint. Rick is still an amazing host – with expert advice and help in setting up excursions around the area. The views are incredible – especially the sunsets. And, Playas del Coco, while growing, is still a quaint beach/fishing village with...

My brother, sister, and I just completed our stay at Rancho Armadillo and just like everyone else, we had the time of our lives. Rick has a wealth of knowledge and was always willing to inform us about the local flora and fauna. He knows the best places to visit and which areas to avoid, and accommodated to our every...

I can't say enough great things about Rancho Armadillo! I've just returned from my 4th visit and am already dreaming about my next one. The hotel grounds are situated on a beautiful, lush property with a spectacular view. Their are tons of beautiful flowers and you can hear the howler monkeys while you enjoy a delicious breakfast, prepared by Rick...

Sometimes, upon return, you wonder if you have idealized your vacation spots, and question if it was really as good as you are remembering. It has been about five years since I have been to Rancho Armadillo, and I couldn't wait for the views from the pool, the homemade breakfast, the sunsets over the mountains... and they were all just...

I have been visiting Rancho Armadillo for over 10 years now. Rick is a welcoming & knowledgeable host. He's quick with good advice on restaurants, local beaches, & general info on the area. The Ranch has been refreshed over the years with new linens, tvs, etc. The property itself is absolutely beautiful - looking out to Tortuga Island. If you're...

Spent 3 nights with Rick at his estate. Great host and a wonderful breakfast! Rick has all the information you need to plan your activities. He even set up a sailboat excursion for the day to secluded beach with caves and great lunch and cocktails by the crew. The covered deck/patio is great with hammocks, sofas, games, books, etc. And...

What a very wonderful and unique place Rick has created. You really can't describe it as a bed and breakfast, or an inn, or a resort. As Rick said, it is a place for travelers rather than tourists. It was perfect for our big family (13 of us in four casitas) and Rick made sure we had a great time,...

Really nice property and owner. Turn left at the anchor where blvd begins and not far down on leftward road. Need taxi or 20 min to walk to town. Very pretty and quiet, ideal for families too. Wifi, cable and little flat screen TV's in room. Plenty of channels and any info you need about the area can be found...

Our family of 4 stayed with Rick at his beautiful estate for 3 nights. We all enjoyed our relaxing time there - reading in the hammocks, swimming in the pool, eating the delicious breakfasts with the amazing view. All of Rick's recommendations were great - food, activities, etc. He is so kind and helpful and relaxed in sharing his amazing...
