What a very wonderful and unique place Rick has created. You really can't describe it as a bed and breakfast, or an inn, or a resort. As Rick said, it is a place for travelers rather than tourists. It was perfect for our big family (13 of us in four casitas) and Rick made sure we had a great time,...

Really nice property and owner. Turn left at the anchor where blvd begins and not far down on leftward road. Need taxi or 20 min to walk to town. Very pretty and quiet, ideal for families too. Wifi, cable and little flat screen TV's in room. Plenty of channels and any info you need about the area can be found...

Our family of 4 stayed with Rick at his beautiful estate for 3 nights. We all enjoyed our relaxing time there - reading in the hammocks, swimming in the pool, eating the delicious breakfasts with the amazing view. All of Rick's recommendations were great - food, activities, etc. He is so kind and helpful and relaxed in sharing his amazing...

Privacy & tranquility, 2 words summing up our getaway to Playas del Coco & Rancho Armadillo! Rick was an outstanding host; it felt like staying with a friend. Of course having the entire hotel to ourselves was an added bonus! Rick's knowledge & suggestions on where & what to do fit our schedule perfectly. He was our own personal concierge...

Amazingly consistent, we have stayed here many times. This Hotel is always well maintained, and has the best host/property in the area. We stayed on December 8 and had a great meal prepared by the owner Rick, most definitely the best meal we had in the Coco area. Private, safe, and peaceful location.

My wife and I were in Costa Rica for about 3 weeks -- in the mountains and on the beach. We left the beach and came to Rick's on a bit of a whim at the end of the trip and were very glad we did. It was the most relaxing few days of the entire trip. Rick's a great...

If you are looking for relaxing, intimate, clean, safe, family-friendly, authentic and memorable, then don't look any further. Rick took my family of 4 (2 adults, a 8 year old and 10 year old) in as if we were long-time family friends and instantly made us feel at home. Rick's limitless warmth and care is only rivaled by his pride...

Rancho Armadillo is one of those hidden little getaways that is just lovely, relaxing and fun. It's 1 about mile from Coco Beach, which has the curse of lots of tourists and the blessing of lots of restaurants and the best gelato ever. Seriously. But how would we find that Gelato were it not for Rick, the owner of Rancho...

I can't say enough good things about Rick and his Rancho Armadillo Estate. My girlfriend and I went on a 9 day tour of Costa Rica and stayed at Rancho for two days. He helped us with our trip weeks before we left, days before we stayed, and during our stay. Rick genuinely loves sharing information about Coco and the...
