Stayed here over Christmas with my three children. (they'd lost their dad, my husband, to cancer in October, we needed a break.). The weather was perfect, the beach just gorgeous and the sunsets spectacular. The hotel was comfortable, big beds, rooms clean and well equipped. The pool is a reasonable size, and what's not to love about a swim up...

First impressions, not bad. After a couple of days our opinions changed. It would be ok if all you want to do is lie in the sun, but there isn't much to do unless you go out of the hotel, which defeats the object of all inclusive. The staff were ok but some had a couldn't care less attitude. The food...

We stayed 4 nights and loved the location. Nice big pool and a great beach across the road. Our stay included breakfast but we only used it for coffee and a quick snack. We spent the majority of our time exploring the region and eating at other places. Its a great place for family with kids. We ended up eating...

We actually moved from a different hotel to this amazing hotel right on the beach. From the moment you walk into the lobby you feel you made the right choice. The rooms were spotless The grounds were maintained impeccably the pool and all it has to offer. An absolute must for families or just couples. Restaurants on site and even...

If all you (and your kids) want is to laze by the pool in the sunshine, with a very comfortable and modern bedroom, look no further. All the typical beach club "entertainments" are available, including scuba diving (not much to see amongst the rocks though). The food in the restaurants is good but avoid the pool bar light meals.

Not 4 star, but close. AI buffet choices are routine, but a la cart can be used too. A new bistro (Cappricio's) opened while we were there and the added variety (excellent thin crust pizza, and other Italian dishes) helps a lot. Most of the liquor choices are bottom shelf, so if you're picky about your whisky, buy at the...

Dear jpwhite6 Thank you for having selected Flamingo Beach Resort & Spa and taking the time to share your review. About the road in front of the resort, it is public and the local goverment is in charge of its maintenance, about the vendors on the beach, in Costa Rica all beaches are public and people can stay in these...

Paid extra to get a pool side room, without understanding that it meant listening to an entertainer shouting out bingo numbers or playing loud music. "Free wifi" poorly working only in the lobby. Location near the beach is nice, but I will not chose this hotel again.

This is my second time staying at this property. I love the location across from the beach. The pool is huge and there is a bar with stools in the water. We did the meal plane and the food was wonderful. The room were very clean. The front desk was very helpful and bi-lingual. The desk near the pool area...

Initially we were given a room on the ground floor which had a musty smell. After complaining we were upgraded to the 3rd floor and a much better room. My husband is a tall man and we are accustomed to a Queen to King sized bed. This room apparently the only other unit available had 2 double beds that could...

Flamingo hotel was a great vacation spot to just relax and enjoy the pacific ocean. Its located on the Guanacast region of Costa Rica, about 2 hours drive from Liberia. The locals Ticos are nice and most know a little english. Its isolated and bit pricey though. Pricey in nearby Tamarindo too. Rent a car. Don't drive at night and...
