This place is an oasis in paradise. Beautiful villas with super cool showers and window walls that slide completely open to your private courtyard. This great property has a great shared open kitchen area with a beautiful pool area. Great to share it with all the birds, monkeys, iguana's and beautiful foliage. Feels like Marcos & Jeisha are now family from the time we spent there with them. And this place is so convenient to many great beaches within a short drive. The only downside was that we did eventually had to leave! Can't wait to get back and see these guys as soon as possible. We miss you!

Excellent hotel! My family travelled here with two young kids and enjoyed every moment. The villas are perfect for a family of four. My daughter enjoyed exploring and watching the monkeys. The beach entry pool is perfect for children to play on safely. We also loved the beautifully equipped kitchen. There is a great grocery store nearby, along with fabulous restaurants. Highly recommend staying here. We hope to be back next year!

This place is very cool, the bungalows are modern, clean and very stylish. Love the out door shower. Every detail is covered. The landscaping is incredible. The hosts so friendly helpful and down to earth. We had a wonderful stay.

Awesome, just plain perfect. As one who is in the high-end hotel business, I’ll say there was no regret staying here. Quiet, beautifully landscaped, and very cool accommodations. The wife/husband owners clearly care and have done a wonderful job. The town is a brief walk, with plenty of good restaurants. We spent three nights, without a car and did fine walking everywhere. Having Playa Grande as the first stop after flying into Liberia is a great way to start a Costa Rica trip. An hour from the airport and plenty remote, with a great beach. We’ll always make this our go-to place before exploring furter.. Frankly, we loved this town as mush as Nosara.

Villas Kalei is everything you could dream for and more. The 4 villas are perfectly designed creating a zen like experience surrounded by a tropical environment. We are return guests, we love staying at Villas Kalei. Absolutely beautiful grounds and plants, so much attention to detail creating a tropical setting. Little family of young iguanas (harmless and want nothing to do with humans) were hiding in trees which was fun to observe. We have stayed in Feb 2022 and April 2023 in different suites, both were spotless and well equipped with plenty of towels, small refrigerator and toiletries. Beautiful interior design as well, love the boho vibe. We felt so welcome each visit from Jeisha & Marcos. The beds in both suites we stayed in are very comfortable. The pool is my fave place to be, very clean and perfect temperature. Shared kitchen is spotless and had everything we needed. Each villa is private and I always feel very safe there. There is a restaurant right on the corner that has amazing cocktails. Playa Grande is great for surfing and long beach walks. Absolutely recommend Villas Kalei. ❤️ special place …

Really wonderful boutique hotel! The rooms are beautifully designed, spacious, well-appointed, and lots of thoughtful touches that make it super comfortable - the bedding, the touch nite-lite alarm clock, the separate bathroom entrance, the outdoor shower, the ceiling fans and AC - all the things that push this from good to great. The communal kitchen and pool were so nice to have!! Highly recommend staying here if you’re looking for a nice, stylish, clean place to relax. It’s a wonderfully zen hotel!

VERY HAPPY HONEYMOONERS! <3 We absolutely LOVED our stay here and we’ll be coming back! My husband and I stayed at Villas Kalei for our honeymoon for two weeks and I’ll tell you what, neither of us wanted to leave. :( It’s perfect, you get the best of both worlds! From howler monkeys to sea life, Marcos & Jeisha created a private oasis in the middle of the jungle but still close to the beaches of Playa Grande. The Villas are well kept and situated for complete privacy, but you can still get to know the other guests in the pool or kitchen area if you desire. Marcos & Jeisha welcomed us at the gate with open arms and their outgoing personalities. They made sure we always had what we needed and also gave us great restaurant and activity recommendations. My husband was looking forward to golfing at least once on our trip, and he was thrilled when Marcos wanted to join. Even though at the end Marcos kicked his butt (: Thank you again Marcos & Jeisha for making us feel like family during our stay. I am blessed by the man upstairs and have been give the great opportunity to travel. From my travels, Marcos and Jeisha have been the most kind hearted staff/hosts I have ever met. I feel honored to have met them and call the beautiful Villlas Kalei home in Costa Rica. Each room is amazing, clean and well taken care of. The Villas are absolutely wonderful with plenty of room, nice showers and enjoy the outdoor chairs for UNO game night. The whole property is secluded and relaxing with the sounds of animal life echoing just at the right moments :) Villas Kalei is just a short 2 min drive or short walk to the great town of Playa Grande. Playa Grande is the perfect little beach town. It’s laid back, has kind people, good food and big waves. My wife and I are sad to go back to cold Idaho but we are extremely thankful we got to stay at Villas Kalei and look forward to bringing our future kids to this wonderful place. Pura Vida…
