Felix and the crew took care of everything. Food was excellent. Walking distance to beach and store. Rooms were comfortable. Short boat ride to Tamarindo. Stay here if you are looking for the perfect little remote hideaway. Very laid back atmosphere. No crowds during our stay.

The Hotel Bula Bula is a very human size--only 10 lovely, colorful clean rooms. They also have homes in the area. We flew into Liberia and took a van directly to Hotel Bula Bula. The staff quickly responded to any questions we had before we made our reservations. The hotel has porches with comfortable wicker chairs. The clean, sparkling pool...

My friends and I stayed about a week at this lovely hotel. The setting was gorgeous, and the staff make the visit work. The manager, Felix, was very helpful, the staff were terrific. The arrangements to see the leatherback turtle, the estuary tour, the arrangements for the catamaran trip were all done efficiently and well by Felix and his able...

I had to book a hotel quickly for our trip to the Tamarindo. After talking with a Costa Rican friend she recommended staying at Playa Grande rather than Tamarindo since it was a lot quieter. I read a few reviews of Hotel Bula Bula and decided it sounded okay. There were a few comments about it being remote but we...

My husband and I stayed two nights in the Monkey Room at Hotel Bula Bula for part of our honeymoon in Costa Rica. We got an excellent rate (around $70 USD/night) and the hotel only had a few other guests there at the time. We arrived early and were greeted by Felix who was very friendly and helpful. The rooms...

We stayed for 9 nights and each was a perfect experience. The morning breakfast was delicious and large enough to keep our appetites at bay while we were surfing or hiking until the early afternoon. The hotel staff is amazing and eager to meet your every request. There is a “hands off” feel about the place- they know you are...

My husband and I, arrived at Hotel Bula Bula August 2nd and stayed for four nights. The rooms were neat and tidy and the grounds were well kept. The hotel is located in a secluded area and out of all the hotels we stayed in Costa Rica, this one was the most peaceful and relaxing- a perfect way to end...
