Where do I even begin with this review? To start, I won’t even send back a bad meal at a restaurant which is why this poor review is not my norm. Disgusting would be a compliment to what my wife and I witnessed. From the room which was below the quality of a hostel, to the inedible food which had ZERO sanitation control to the indifference of the leadership staff (concierge said my review was my opinion and Eric in the states still has yet to return my call) to NO Covid sanitation, to 12 lounge chairs (for the entire pool area), to the closure of 2 pools, we remain speechless regarding our experience. PLEASE do yourself a favor and go anywhere but Condovac for your stay. The ONLY positive was the support from the excursion rep named Tony. He was a fabulous resource and I highly recommend using his services. If anyone has any questions regarding our experience, feel free to reach out directly and I can discuss better options than this ‘hell hole’!…
Terrible resort, old and outdated, NO HOT WATER FOR A WEEK, noise and dust, it’s some kind of remodeling near pool and restaurant, food way below average. We had to change 3 rooms and had no choice to stay even the feeling was to turn around and leave. Worst vacation ever in our life.
We weren’t sure what to expect for our first international trip, especially since the reviews for this place were all over the board. We set our expectations on the low side and figured as long as we were together, we would make it an adventure. True, the rooms are merely adequate and nothing at all special, but the views throughout the resort are spectacular and we didn’t mind the walking and waiting for shuttles when needed. We much preferred the relaxed vibe and beauty in this area to nearby Coco Beach. The staff was exceptionally nice and accommodating and the all-inclusive option was a great value. We did a couple of tours, but really spent most of our time at the resort in the pool or at the beach. As everyone has said, Tony was amazing and we looked him up right away. He arranged all our transportation and tour needs, gave us recommendations and was always a friendly face to see around the resort. I don’t think we could have had a better trip for the money!…
This is located in a beautiful beach area and a short walk to the beach. It is on a hillside, so unless you are agile, you may need to use the provided shuttle that makes a loop around the property. The staff are courteous but not all speak English. Good for you to use some Spanish anyway. Tony , the tour guy, was great at helping us find a tour to see what we wanted to explore. He was always available on the “What’s App” app which also works well for the front desk. Tony is the type of person who will go above and beyond for you. Temperature control in rooms was nice. Not deluxe accommodations but adequate for our needs. The sunsets were beautiful!
I will start with the positive things. The views were amazing. nature was definitely present during this trip. Shout outs to Tony, Carlos, and Sider the staff were really helpful.. From check in to check out Tony was really the man to go to. This vacation spot is not really meant for anyone who doesn’t speak Spanish lots of locals. There was no hotel activities the ones they did have were only in Spanish or outdated. The restaurant had one menu and buffet was only choice of a couple items. Tried almost everything. Club sandwich and tenderloin best options. Pizza was not edible. At one point there was no bottled water. No beverages in your room and everything closed early. Pool bar not open until 11. Lots of miscommunication at this hotel only a handful of people actually know what’s going on. I wouldn’t go back to this particular place but I would definitely go back to Costa Rica…
