Hotel was under a bit of construction. They're in the process of renovating the gym, store, front entrance and several villas. They're also installing poolside bathrooms. Our room wold have benefited from some brighter lighting (all dark wood interior with covered lights) and a few ceiling fans (just one oscillating floor fan). We also had an issue with outlets working...

Our vacation plans changed for work-related reasons, and the hotel was very nice and cooperative in helping us change our booking at the last minute... and this for a package with 3 young children. You do not find this kind of service in most places. Thanks Pablo! AA, Montreal, Canada

We stayed at this resort in October as part of the Jewels of Costa Rica Monkey Tour. Our bus stopped ahead of time so that we could all buy water from the market for safe drinking.......clue #1. Upon arrival we signed up for a tour of dolphin watching, deep sea fishing and snorkeling at the discounted rate of $65 per...

The good news first, and it is a wonderful location and well worth a visit. However, the room we had was 'tired' in other words in need of refurbishment and the restaurant was very disappointing. More good news, the town is a short taxi ride away with a variety of beach side restaurants. Some staff were excellent but others let...

The villas are very basic but are in a very scenic location next to Samara beach. The resort has direct access to the beach and a nice swimming pool. What really lets this place down is the very poor quality and over priced selection of food and drinks, also the service is poor. We ended up walking 30 minutes along...

We visited this location on a Costa Rica Monkey Tour. Our room was an ocean view suite (2B) and there was a nice ocean view if you were sitting in the living room or on the porch which had a hammock and two beach chairs. This room was a one bedroom with a kitchenette. It was clean with minimal utensils,...

We stayed here two nights as part of a tour group. The beach was quiet with lovely sand and the water extremely warm.Unfortunately the visibility is poor so we could not enjoy any snorkeling. We ate most of our meals at the restaurant. The food was very good and the kitchen was very accommodating of my gluten free diet. The...

This place isn't super fancy, but it was clean and comfortable and had a great beach and pool. I spent the whole day going between the beach and the pool and loved every second. Our room was basic but quiet and clean and the A/C worked great. The breakfast buffet was good. We walked to the town from the resort...

On arriving you feel a wow factor but after a bit you realise that it doesn't feel as special as it looks. We saw a few people arrive at they're rooms and then relocate as some rooms are fantastic and some are below many people's standards. We made friends with some Canadians and they showed us their bathroom and it...
