El trato de las anfitrionas Diana y Maritza; súper especial. La habitación con vista al jardín, estaba limpia y equipada para poder cocinar. La pool estaba cerca de la habitación, lo que ayudó mucho al mejor disfrute.

We were sad to leave this apartment. It was huge, with two bedrooms, two bathrooms a kitchen and living room. The one bathroom had a jacuzzi bath tub. The hot water worked well and there was an air conditioner in both bedrooms as well as the living room. The wifi worked well throughout our stay . We had a big balcony over looking the pool. The parking lot is secure and the owner's son is also the security guard. The owner is nice and lives on the property if there are any problems. The room has satellite tv with lots of Spanish channels and a few in English. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk or a five minute drive from the beach. You pretty much need a car if you are staying here. You can rent surfboards in town for $10 for the day and there is a large super market just outside of town called Super Mega. The owner doesn't accept credit cards for payment . Tamarindo is about 1.5 hours from Liberia and alot of the streets are dirt roads without signs. The owner sent us directions but we still got lost. His son came and showed us the way from town. It is probably best to cal him if you can when you arrive in town as the apartments don''t have a sign. the only negative about this apartment was that it wasn't the cleanest.…

We stayed in a second floor unit overlooking the pool. The condo was clean, quiet and comfortable, and very nicely appointed. There is a security guard on duty every night. Adding even more space is the large terrace, nicely furnished, and with two ceiling fans. We spent every evening there playing cards and listening to the waterfall at the pool. The airconditioning was welcome and worked well. As for the hot water, once we figured it out we managed to get it warm. Apparently, in Tamarindo, water pressure is at it's lowest around dinnertime when everyone is showering. Walking to the beach is about 12 minutes, for those of us in our fifties, and the road is well lit at night. There are many places along the way to stop for a cold one.We spent the mornings by the pool and the afternoons by the beach, Thanks to Michelle and Steve upstairs and Leona in Ontario.…

Boy, do I wish I had translated the other review before I booked this. This place is terrible! I have never written a negative review of a condo where I have stayed (anywhere in the world--US, Europe, Asia, Middle East), but here it goes. The photos on the web make it look amazing, but... First, it is not an 8-minute stroll to the beach as advertised. It is more than a 15 minute walk to the beach on rocky, dusty, unbearably hot roads with little shade and no sidewalks. Cars zoom by and you are coated in dust. We are athletic 30 somethings, and hated this part. Older couples would likely find this completely undesirable. At night, there are NO lights along this long walk. We all tripped and fell at some point, and my daughter really should have had stitches for the cut to her knee from one of the falls. Second, there is NO HOT OR EVEN WARM WATER in the shower, contrary to the advertisement. After multiple attempts to reach the owner and the manager, we resorted to taking buckets of water from the sink to bathe. What did come out was of such low pressure, it was impossible to get your head fully wet. AGAIN--WATER PRESSURE EQUIVALENT TO A LITTLE MORE THAN A FAUCET DRIP. Completely unacceptable. Oh, and bring your own hairdryer, as there isn't one of those, either. Third, There is NOTHING around this place, making it feel less than secure. There are no buildings adjacent, except for one that appears to have been stopped mid construction. It looks creepy. There is razor wire on the wall behind the building, as there is on many of the fences on buildings in the general area of this place. It does not have the charming, country, secluded feeling that is advertised. More like creepy and desolate. Forth, The sheets and towels are of terrible quality in the unit where we stayed. Really uncomfortable to sleep on. As long as we are on sleep, there is a nutty rooster that will wake you up early, and will keep calling for several hours (I'm not making this stuff up!) There was a tiny bit of detergent for washing, but we ran out after one wash. Fifth, I know there are bugs in Costa Rica, but I don't care to see gigantic (2" long), flying cockroaches in my condo. Perhaps that is acceptable in this part of the world, but I found it disgusting and more than a little unsettling. I'm sure our neighbors didn't enjoy hearing me scream at 2 am after turning on the lights in the bathroom, either:) I grew up in the Deep South US, and there are very effective ways of keeping bugs out of the inside of the house. On the bright side, Tamarindo was GREAT fun! We loved everything about the beach, the tours we took, the surfing lessons, and the neat little shops and restaurants in town. But if Las Gaviotas were our only option for being able to return to Costa Rica, we would never, ever come back.…

Estos condos se construyeron y nunca les dieron mantenimiento, el balcon no tenia luz se veian los cables guindando, algunas puertas no se podian cerrar e incluso no era posible tomar una ducha con agua caliente. La señora que los alquila no conoce lo que es limpieza, y solo la ves cuando te cobra cuando llegas y cuando regresa el dia que te vas para recordarte la hora de salida, nunca llego ni a cambiar las toallas ni sacar la basura, cuando entramos olia mal y habia telarañas parecia que no habian personas en ese lugar en un buen tiempo. Los condos son para 4 personas pero ella nos dio la opcion de que se podian hospedar 6 personas en cada condo y que ella nos daba un colchon extra para las personas adicionales, al final cuando le solicitamos el colchon extra nos dijo que los sillones que habian en el condo eran sofa cama, uno si lo era pero se encontraba en pesimo estado y el otro era un sillon normal en el que ella sugeria que se podia dormir, ojala nos hubiera dicho esto antes!! En resumen no lleven expectativas muy altas y no se confien de las fotografias de la pagina web!…
