This review is written by a 9 year old. This hotel was so awesome. The free boogie boards were awesome. The ocean was swimmable. It had a great pool. The walk to town was about 10 min. The monkeys were so cute. There were also kitties, raccoons, geckos and iguana. Let's just say I'm going back.

We spent 3 nights here as a bit of relaxation after doing the normal tourist sites in Costa Rica. This is a superior hotel, with very helpful and friendly staff - the concierge was particularly helpful booking trips and dinner reservations. The rooms are spacious, well appointed and private but within easy reach of all the hotel facilities. The pool...

This hotel is really a MUST during your stay in Costa Rica, if you are looking for a few relaxing days at the beach. Tamarindo is very nice, and you will have the possibility to do long walks on the beach. The hotel itself is located a little bit outside out the village (which is great!), and is in the...

Cannot praise this place enough, what a fabulous location and the wild animals are just a joy, even though I was used as a landing pad for an Iguana who jumped out of a poolside tree. All the staff were friendly and very helpful and the only minor problem we encountered was expertly dealt with by Diego the hotel manager....

This is a truly outstanding small hotel. Our room was extremely spacious and everything was surprisingly clean and free of sand -- not easy for a beach hotel, and especially when it was so windy during our stay. There's a great little oval bar where all the guests meet and chat, including regulars who have been coming here for as...

This was my 3rd visit to Capitan Suizo and my 5th visit to Costa Rica. I was initially skeptical about returning to the same hotel for a third time, but I must say I am totally hooked now and I KNOW I will be going back again! From the amazing spacious rooms, to the incredible lush and beautiful grounds, to...

Strayed here 4 days during my birthday trip to Costa Rica. Its located on the edge of Tamarindo in a much quieter area. The lobby is open and very inviting. The staff was great. There is a lot of wildlife on the grounds. It was like being in the edge of the jungle next to the ocean. They even friendly...

I have been a guest of Capitan Suizo in 2016. I've just been overwhelmed by a) the extraordinary location, right on the beautiful Tamarindo beach, b) the bungalows surrounded from the garden where you can see monkeys and other animals, c) the kitchen and last but def not least, the employees who make you feel welcome and arrived like at...

Tamarindo is a bit seedy but Capitain Suizo is a quiet, friendly welcoming oasis. The rooms are lovely but the plumbing leaves a little to be desired. The staff are superb. They are friendly helpful and efficient, you could not ask for any better. The food is the best we had in the resort delicious and plentiful. The pool was...

Beautiful, lush grounds providing a natural habitat for monkeys, iguanas, and other wildlife. The location is right on the ocean. Breakfast is included and offers a wide variety of fresh and delicious foods. The restaurant menus have many options and are reasonably priced, and the bar is well stocked. We stayed in a beautifully decorated bungalow with every amenity including...
