The building is located on a tropical garden up on a hill with a magnificent view of the ocean. Quet and silent. The swimming pool is always clean and big enough for swimming. It's a place you will never forget. I come here very year since 2001

La Colina is a lovely small hotel just on the edge of Tamarindo - close enough so we could walk to everything, far enough away that we had peace and quiet when we wanted it. A very safe and secure accommodation with spacious suites with kitchen facilities, laundry service and a wonderful clean pool to dip into after a hot...

We travel alot and our stay at La Colina was one of the best. What a view! The suite was clean and well maintained, the staff was efficient and pleasant. The owner was available during our stay and was very helpful with local guide info. The grounds are kept very clean and the pool is refreshing. It is a nice...

My wife and I stayed at LaColina for about 3 weeks in February and were very pleased with the hotel. It reminded us of small European hotels with friendly staff. Hans was always there to answer questions or give us a recommendation. The hotel is up on a small hill so you get sunsets over the ocean (depending on your...

La Colina was heaven on earth! Hans arranged for our transportation to and from the airport with trusted drivers that he deals with regularly. We arrived in the evening and had a great night's sleep ready to explore the next day. The room was clean, comfortable giving you a feeling of home...with the added benefit of warm weather, a balcony...

Really when you stay at La Colina, you're staying at Hans' place, the man, them mystery, the bar's open when he hasn't been partying too hard with his Canadian friends. The rooms are divine, peaceful, clean, like little tree houses with breeze and sunshine, far enough from the tourist trap, but close enough to run up the hill and change...

I ended up at La Colina quite by accident... and what a fortunate accident it was. When I booked my surf school in early November, they were unable to put us up the whole time at their hotel. We stayed two nights in the touristy bustle of Tamarindo, and then transfered up the hill (an 8-10 minute walk) to La...

Hotel La Colina is your home away from home when staying in Tamarindo. The apartment style rooms give you plenty of room with nearly all the amenities of home. I had a gorgeous view of the ocean and sunset from my patio. It's a short taxi ride or walk up from the main road but it's nice to be away...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at La Colina. The large pool, the amazing beds, the ocean view and quietness were what we most appreciated. The hotel is very clean and we never saw a bug anywhere. The staff is very friendly. There is plenty of sun and shade. We returned home happy and rested.
