Witch's rock hotel is right next to the Vaquero bar so it is very loud all day & most of the night. The beds are comfortable. Rooms are basic. Take all of your toiletries with you. Take beach towels with you too. I would go back but I would probably stay at the Pueblo Dorado. it is way more quiet...

We were excited to try Volcano Brewing Company, but were majorly disappointed. I actually preferred drinking pilsen while we were in costa rica. Really cool that there is a brewery, but it needs some time to figure out its beer recipes still.

Stayed in 3 different rooms over my 4 nights at the main complex on the beach. Restaurant on site was decent. My single room was great - place to sleep, shower, change. What more do you need? You're in paradise, so the room is trivial in my opinion - who wants to spend time in there anyway?? I was traveling...

Just returned from a very enjoyable week in Tamarindo Costa Rica. We stayed at the recommended Witch's Rock Surf Camp and we really enjoyed ourselves. Let me give some details. First of all, we stayed in "Joe's Apartment". The owner used to reside in this apartment with his family but they recently moved out. Now it has become a nice...

Stayed here December 2016. Selected Intermediate Surfing program. My room was the PH all the way to the end, I believe #9. Strong sewage smell inside the room for all the days I stayed there. Woke me up at night, it was putrid & pungent. When mentioned to staff, they said oh it gets like that when it rains hard....

Went here for my birthday and everyone was so nice. They went above and beyond to make it a special trip. The surfing lessons were so much fun. Randall is awesome and very helpful. The location is right on the beach and the seminars were very interesting.

Excellent dinner! Surf & Turf, whole Snapper ( caught fresh daily) and of course, Witch's Tit for drinks. Very attentive and helpful staff. A must for a visit to playa tamarindo. For beer, Volcano brewing company. Costa Rica reggae rap for background music.

We had the jumbo nachos and it seems a lot of other people were ordering them, too! It was more than enough for the two of us and was very affordable. A fun place to eat! Easy to walk to on the beach from our hotel!

I didn't stay here either, but Volcano brewery is part of it. They have awesome super honest people, the food is awesome, they have some good craft beer and the surf instructors are awesome. We originally stopped in for a pitch and some nachos. After about 10 minutes of being there one of the surf instructors, Richard came over and...

I didnt stay there, I just took surf lessons. Manrique is really good. I took few classes with some other people somewhere else and it didnt work out. Manrique will make you get independent quickly and he knows what goes wrong if so. It was really fun learning to surf with him. Thank you!
