I just celebrated my 35th birthday at WRSC with my 6 year old boy and a middle aged boyfriend who joined us on the last 3 days of our stay. My son and I flew in on a Saturday, so we ended up taking the shuttle to the camp, we waited 2 hours outside the airport until the rest of...

I love instructors Jose and J. Luis. I had never surfed before. I was catching waves the first day! On day 4 we went to another beach and i was surfing on 5-7 foot waves. The instructors are awesome and soo good. They are professional surfers. Luis at the restaurant was great and so helpful. Oh and they had photographers...

THE GOOD: If you are a beginner surfer like me, you will love the mellow breaks at Tamarindo, and during our stay there were even some 5-6 footers, which can be dangerous--see below. The ladies at the front desk are kind, professional and really try to help. They are 5 star people. The staff is really nice and give good...

This was my second time taking lessons from them, last year I did the whole surf camp experience which was really great. We had lessons almost every day and had seminars in the evening including the history of surfing with Robert August! This time we didn't do the whole surf camp, but just did some walk-in lessons, as we weren't...

I spent a week here and had never surfed before. By the end of the week, I could catch waves on my own, but this was definitely not easy (but lots of fun learning!). WR has a solid breakfast, great teachers, and is a prime location. The owner and staff were great. They went out of their way to make...

We are beginners and took two week's worth of lessons at the school - I would recommend the tuition there. Instructors were all good, giving useful advice and ensuring that we got what we wanted out of lessons. Some were friendlier than others, but all were extremely professional. Surfing on these easy waves with good tuition definitely built our confidence. We checked...

I only ate there once and it was ok I had the half nachos and it was indeed big I couldn't imagine a full order. If you want to have drinks it could be he place to go but it wasn't the cheapest place either. The location was right on the beach so the access was easy to and from...

Just returned from my second trip to Witch’s Rock Surf Camp (“WRSC”). I did a week long guys trip last January of ‘14 and had such a great time I brought the whole family down this Thanksgiving (Nov’14). If you want to learn how to surf in excellent conditions, (i.e. nice waves, warm clear blue water, sand beaches not rock...

I just got back from a week at Witch's Rock after making an impulse decision to book a trip a few weeks back after reading the incredible reviews, and it lived up to the stellar reputation. I had never surfed before and was a little nervous about heading out there alone, but I came back home with the ability to...
