Pura vida is one of my fav hostel ever! You can feel that the owner is living for his place. Board and bycicles are rented for free (that's not common) and they have great shows and concerts during the evening. Price is still the lowest in Tamarindo. I recommend 200%!

Great hostel. Clean, good vibe, great live music till 9ish, great owners. We had a private room with shared bathroom - A/C, double bed and wifi. Kitchen has microwave, toaster and oven, plenty of space to relax in the common area and much quieter than other places in tamarindo. Best hostel in Costa Rica

This is what the sign says in front of PURA VIDA HOSTEL. I can't tell you how friendly and helpful the staff and guests are at this place. They have helped me in many ways which includes making me feel comfortable staying there. I only experienced the Private Room and Bath and although it is rather spartan in decor and...

This was one of the coolest hostels I've stayed in this trip. Two great kitchens, awesome vibes and super kind staff who go above and beyond. The location is perfect and there's even fresh donuts and coffee in the morning. I was sold at donuts tbh!

Booked to stay for 2 nights with my boyfriend, ended up staying for four because we liked it here so much. We had a lovely warm welcome from Tomas when we arrived. We originally booked to stay in a 6 bed dorm room which I'm not going to lie wasn't great... It was pretty dark, cramped and hot even with...

I've been to Tamarindo a couple of times and have stayed in three different hostels. Tamarindo is the best in my opinion just because it seems to attract the most sociable people. The owners are super nice and can help you explore the city. Some of the rooms can get super hot though! I helped paint the back room by...
