My boyfriend and I stayed in the guest cottage a week and a half ago. It was absolutely one of the coolest parts of our trip. Cottage: Spacious, clean, and lovely. It had a bunk bed, twin size bed, and a full size bed at the back of the cottage. The front of the cottage consisted of a kitchen and... More

We visited the Toucan Rescue Ranch on the second day of our trip and it could not be a better start! They are really lovely people who care a lot about the animals. You can see sloths, toucans, monkeys etc. But the wellbeing of the animals comes first. They have an impressive rehabilitation program for the wild animals. The animals... More

We stayed one night in the sloth cottage and it was an unforgettable experience. We did the tour in the afternoon when we arrived and it was very informational and interesting. Getting to see the babies and learn more about the animals was definitely the highlight of our trip to Costa Rica. Unfortunately our flight left to early to stay... More

With only a 5 day stop over in Costa Rica this is one of the places we really wanted to see. It's well worth a visit and will appeal to adults and kids alike. The sanctuary really makes an effort with the local fauna - both endangered and abused - which was great to see. There is a wide variety... More

I contacted Carol from Toucan to ask if my little sister could volunteer in some way if we made a visit to the ranch. Even thought the min stay for volunteers is 1 month, since we were staying almost a week, Carol told me she would speak to the owner, Leslie and get back with us. So here I am,... More

This is a wonderful work that these folks are doing with these beautiful animals. I visited with a group from Sol Education Abroad and we all fell in love with these animals. This ranch is funded solely by donations. If you love animals and love a happy ending, you will not want to miss this!

We spent a morning here with Pedro a staff member to teach us about this rehab centre. It is very close to San Jose and well worth visiting. We saw baby and adult sloths, spider monkeys, birds of prey, birds from the parrot family, amd much much more....and of course toucans!

We stayed at the ranch for our first night in Costa Rica and it was one of the best starts to a trip we've had. The accommodation is a cute little guesthouse right in the middle of the ranch with everything you need to make your stay comfortable. The ranch itself is brilliant! Such a wide variety of animals either... More

This facility gets the purpose of a rescue sanctuary. They do everything they can to be able to release an animal back into the wild but will continue to take care of them at the facility if they can;t survive in the wild. The name is Toucan Rescue Ranch but they have many animals that have been rescued not just... More

We booked online through email correspondence which was great, also happy to take payment on the day rather than insisting up front. We opted for the $30 tour which is outstanding value for money. The range of animals is great, you can see the longer standing residents have their own personalities which the staff are aware of! This brings me... More
