We have spent 2 nights in this beautiful hotel to relax and visit San Jose before we go to the beach at the pacific. Service was good and the property was very beautiful. The breakfast could be better for a Marriott .

I loved staying at this resort with my sister in January during a recent girls' trip to Costa Rica. Our hotel room on the first floor overlooked the driving range and putting green surrounded by beautiful, lush landscaping with an amazing view of the volcano in the background. The property also includes a large gym, spa and tennis courts. There...

I stayed at this hotel one night prior to leaving for a cruise. The travel agent booked it and apparently Windstar Cruises has an arrangement with them because there were many people at the hotel who were on the same cruise. The hotel is older. Finding your room can be a challenge. We asked for twin beds and hiked all...

Very well designed hotel with an old Spanish charm with its own golf course and beautiful views of the San Jose valley and the surrounding mountains. Helpful and prompt staff, especially the bell staff. The Executive Lounge is very good with a friendly staff. There is a well appointed spa. Pamela is a fantastic masseuse!

We ended up staying here for 12 days having had to cancel our planned trip around Costa Rica. The staff went out of their way to assist us and were so kind, enquiring after our daughter's health each day and being extremely flexible about our checkout date. The property is large and has excellent facilities which helped make our stay...

This is a nice hotel and is close to the airport. The facility is not new but that is part of the character of the hotel. Very nice staff. Hotel has two restaurants. One local food and one Peruvian. I didn't get to try the Peruvian but the local one wasn't the best food, above average. Location is good as...

The Marriott San Jose is almost more of a resort than a hotel. The property is beautiful, with its open-air design and lovely grounds. There is a driving range and a walking path within the secured area. The staff is bilingual and the service is excellent. There is a little strip mall next to the property that has a few...

Stayed here in transit with family of five. Wish we had a little more time. This seems to be a locally developed property, certainly has the air of proud owners. Marriott flag seems to be an add-on. Everything was nicely finished and very well maintained. Our breakfast was included-- quite a large buffet that sent us on our way full...

Spent two lovely nights prior to our Panama Canal cruise. Very nicely decorated for the holidays and amazingly friendly and attentive staff from the moment we set foot on the property. The room was large, lovely and a great view of the mountains and the pool below. The concierge lounge provided a lovely dinner spread that was the perfect snack...

The hotel is great, clean throughout. Minus one star for very expensive restaurants with better than average food. We dined in the Peruvian restaurant, $70.00 for the two of us, in Costa Rica that is tourist prices. The food had good flavor but came out of the kitchen semi warm. Very nice grounds, great little coffee / espresso shop that...
