We enjoyed our three nights at the Playa Negra Guest House. The rooms were simple but comfortable for myself and two kids (6 and 13). The pool was great, enjoyed by both of my kids. The staff were all vey nice. The location was close to town that you could walk there in 5-10 minutes, but far away enough that...

Great way to start my trip to Costa Rica. Caribbean coast beautiful - lots of birds, animals, local food and amazing tours. Very relaxed and natural environment. Marise and Pierre were wonderful hosts - very accommodating, lots of suggestions where to go and what to do. Warm and friendly, felt safe and very much enjoyed their company. Pierre took me...

After a long and stressful drive from San Jose we were welcomed by Marise and stepped into paradise, made every second of negotiating SJ traffic worth it. The gardens are spectacular and the accommodation so perfect. We stayed in the Blue Cottage which was just great. Plenty of space, lots of equipment if you wanted to cater for yourself and...

We (2 adults and a baby) stayed 8 days with Marise and Pierre and couldn't have been happier. This was by far the best hotel / B&B we stayed at during our 8 weeks travel in Costa Rica. The guesthouse is located right at Playa Negra in a lush beautiful tropical garden with a very pretty pool area. The owners...

Love this place. Best bed in Costa Rica. I didn't want to get out of it. Super clean. Super comfy rooms. Amazing garden I just wanted to sit there forever. The beach is just across the street. Two delicious restaurants down the street. Very comfy. Not far from town either. A short walk. Owner is very accommodating and will help...

A splendid destination choice. Everything way above par, plus exquisite landscape maintenance. Pamper yourself and order one of their remarkable breakfast selections at least! Worth a photo indeed... This hotel is located on the tranquil side of the Caribbean, but easily accessible to all the activities for which the Puerto Viejo area is noted, absent the congestion and noise.

What an amazing place and directly across from the beach! Hidden behind a secure private fence, you step into a secret jungle garden around a pool. The apartments are tucked into the garden giving privacy and quiet to the guests. Our downstairs corner room with it's own patio was wonderful - spacious, quiet, with small kitchenette for coffee in a.m....
