What a beautiful place! The Magellan is located only two or three minutes walking to the black sand beaches of Playa Negra. It is a small and comfortable property with a beautiful garden, the deepest salt water pool in Cahuita, and clean and comfortable rooms with AC units installed in the rooms. The rooms have recently been renovated by the...

If there was a better place to stay, I'd know it. I've visited Cahuita every August for the last 15 years, and I've stayed nearly every place that there is to stay here; this is, BY FAR, the best place in town! The staff is amazing; they were at my beckon call. I don't know if I can stay anywhere...

A great place to relax, unwind and renew! The mattresses and linens were brand new and it was the best nights sleep I had on my trip. The new owners are in the process of making updates and putting their own touches on the property, which is lovely. They were welcoming and helped me have an enjoyable stay and in...

I will never forget my week long vacation here at Kindred Spirits, Magellan Inn. I rode horses every day and was right in the middle of the most beautiful wildlife, nature, beaches I visited on my own as a single female in my 30s. It was a little remote but worth it completely to be at this inn on the...

My husband and I stayed there 3 nights. We enjoyed the peace and quiet of the Inn. We even took long naps which were never disrupted by any noise. We came to rest and we got it. The breakfast was always made fresh with wonderful home made warm bread:) The girls that took care of us couldn't be any more...

Peaceful, relaxing, and there is a yoga platform. You can get yoga instruction and classes but I used the area to meditate and practice a few moves on my own. Staff was helpful and the breakfast of fruit, roll, and coffee worked great for me.
