My husband and I arrived at the Magellan Inn before noon on Saturday, February 27, exhausted but thrilled to be in Costa Rica for the first time. We had booked an 8 day, 7 night horseback riding package with Terry at the inn. Months previously, Terry had helped us choose activities for the week—to include four horse treks, a chocolate...

My adult daughter and I stayed at the Magellan Inn for a week. We purchased the package deal through Equitours so we went on several equestrian rides on the beach, mountains and jungle, The Inn is just the right size with just six rooms. It is like a private paradise. With the package we got our meals included and they...

First impression of the hotel is nice, but the service and breakfast are bad! While the location is surrounded by forest it should be peaceful and quiet none of this! Barking dogs and bad curtains looks as if the lights are still on in the room! Overall bad experience, would not recommend the hotel.

What a perfect little piece of perfection! Started each day on the patio listening to the birds & the howlers & hunting for the sloth in the trees. (All before a great breakfast) Wished we had planned to stay longer!

We came to ride horses and explore an exotic place. The horses are well cared-for and a pleasure to ride, especially on the beach. The inn is beautifully landscaped and well-kept. It's home to a variety of friendly animals, which we enjoyed. The parrots came to know and talk to us. The dogs and cats were hospitable and the chickens...

Stayed 4 nights in this charming little property, although the grounds were smaller than I had envisaged. Good little swimming pool and a yoga platform that my niece enjoyed visiting. Hammock out side of room a good feature. Although I hadn't booked it we ended up staying in room 3 the superior room with fridge and TV - a blessing...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Magellan as it suited our style of travel well. The town of Cahuita is a 2-3 km. walk from the Inn which we enjoyed walking each of the five days of our stay. We began each day with a light breakfast (included) before setting off on each new adventure. The owner, Terry, and...

What a quaint and lovely boutique hotel! I came here for a yoga teacher training retreat, staying for 3 weeks. I loved the atmosphere! It felt like a true oasis apart from reality and the craziness of life. I enjoyed my stay very much!

Loved my stay at Magellan Inn. Terry, the owner, was personally involved in making sure all of my needs were taken care of. The property was absolutely beautiful and was minutes to walk to an amazing beach you could have often to yourself. The property had a great pool, outdoor yoga platform, and hammocks for every porch. The staff was...
