My boyfriend and I stayed at El Encanto Inn in October 2010. First off....Cahuita (and the entire Caribbean coast) is off the beaten track, and not full of big, luxury resorts like some other parts of Costa Rica. But you can find small, elegant places to stay like El Encanto. The Inn is outside of the main part of town,...

This is my second time coming to this place this year and I'm so glad I did. The place is so relaxing, the staff is really helpful in everything, we did the snorkeling tour and it was really amazing. Cahuita is such a pretty place, the Park is a wonder. And it's so nice to be walking distance from everything....

We have traveled to Costa Rica twice and are trying to make it an every year occurrence. We stumbled upon El Encanto our first time there and it is now a must to stay there every time we go! The people are lovely, the service is impeccable and the food is just that! It is like this little world away...

The hotel is very well located, near the bus station, the center and in front of playa negra. The place is very nice surrounded by a jarden, a swimming pool, and different rooms which are very clean, spacious and charmant. I really recommend this place in Cahuita.

We stayed at El Encanto for three nights in July 2010 (myself, my partner, and our children aged 10 and 14). My "average" (three star) rating for the hotel needs explanation. The hotel itself is way above average, but some service concerns means I couldn't give it the same rating I gave for some other places we stayed in Costa...

We only stayed for one night, but we loved El Encanto. The gardens are beautiful and the atmosphere is very peaceful. Our room was very clean; we didn't see any dirt or bugs. Even though there was no A/C, the ceiling fan kept the room quite comfortable, especially at night. Breakfast in the morning consisted of a large fruit plate,...

We were extremely pleased with El Encanto. The place is a protected retreat walking distance from downtown Cahuita, with a large protective gate surrounding the internal gardens, main house with open eating area, and multiple cabins on the property. We really enjoyed our conversations with the extremely kind, personable, knowledgeable, and warm Isabel, the owner. The room was lovely and...

A bit more expensive but very nice and worth the money. Beautiful cabinets, beautiful gardens. Best breakfast we had in CR, you get fruits, good coffee, toast, juices eggs, panecakes…. It’s right between the center and playa negra. So you can walk to both of them in 5-10 minutes. My wive got sick by eating something wrong in one of...

We stayed in the self catering appartment and were very impressed with it. Lovely high ceilings, GREAT walk-in shower, comfortable bed, balcony overlooking the tropical gardens. The staff were endlessly helpful, especially as one of us was ill for several days of our stay. They could not do enough for us. We will definitely go back there!

Excellent and frliendly bed and breakfast within easy walking distance of everything in Cahuita. It was quiet, safe and secure inside its own gates. The beach is just across the road. It is a great place for all travelers.
