We love the nature and to choose to stay at this lodge was best decision we made while travelling in Costa Rica at Christmas time. Be aware to come there while it’s still bright, we were driving from Guanacaste so it took us around 7 hours to get there, it got dark already and it was raining a lot so...

This was the best place I ever visited. Host and Owner Juergen has created a paradise and makes tourism sustainable. We had two wonderful, spacious and wonderfully decorated bungalows with a direct view in the rainforest. There is no electricity, but you won't miss it. They took care of everything. Torches lit all around, candles, flashlights. You'll wonder why you...

From pick up to drop off our stay was faultless. We couldn't have been more at one with nature. What Jurgen, his family, friends and staff do here is amazing... You know how we all say we want to save the rainforests? Well they're doing it and it was an absolute pleasure and privilege to be able to witness this...

Even the adventure of driving down the long remote drive with River Crossing was a total pleasure! It looked and felt like you were approaching a very precious gem of an eco-lodge in an understated setting which surpassed my expectations. We took advantage of the many hikes available into the rain forest as well as every morning enjoyed birdwatching with...

This is an absolutely stunning ecolodge! Completely secluded in the heart of a prime rain forest preserve. With an open-air design, the cabinas are perfect for taking in all the jungle sounds - day and night! The owner and his crew are top-notch knowledgeable tour guides, excellent service and delicious food! We loved the family-style meals at "The Rancho" where...

This is an amazing eco lodge! The truck getting there is so much fun and you get to cross the river. We saw a sloth on the way which was wonderful. The rooms are wonderful, with solar heated water and solar lights. Beds very comfortable and hammocks were perfect on the balcony. We went on the hike to the waterfall...

I wanted an adventure for a milestone birthday and Selva Bananito was the perfect place! It's hard to describe what a special place it is. Tourism is to support the mission of rainforest restoration and watershed for Limón. Jorgen, who with his sisters are second generation German owners of the property and the foundation to support the eco-mission, is passionate...

I cannot begin to describe the great time my family and I had during our stay at Selva Bananito! Yes the road is rough getting to the lodge, but that is just a small part of the beginning of your adventure! If you are the type that wants to be pampered, you will be disappointed. However, if your are the...

Our three-day-stay began with a 90-minute lay-over in the middle of the rugged hour-long ride to the Selva Bananito Lodge. The truck, a wreck waiting to happen, broke an axle, and the driver was unable to persuade anybody at the lodge to come and rescue us for what felt like forever. The good news: We broke down in the shade....

We really had great time at the Lodge. The people there are real nature lovers and great hosts. They showed us loads of different plants and all kinds of animals! The horseback riding was a great experience and the absolute highlight was the overnight stay in the jungle, that we can highly recommend. The food was excellent and the lodges...
