We stayed for two nights in the end bungalow tucked away from it all. Very well designed bungalows thwt are kept immaculately clean. The proch and hammock provides a good look out for birds, crabs, monkeys and other wildlife. Excellent value for money.

I stayed in one of the delightful bungalows, on the edge of the National Park, just round the corner from a lovely beach. Each bungalow has its own shower, toilet, fridge, and tea/coffee-making facilities. They also have a verandah, and a hammock where you can sit and watch the wildlife. There are lots of monkeys which can be seen in...

We stayed for 4 nights (extended from 2) and we didn't want to leave! The bungalow was extremely comfortable and well-equipped with lots of quirky features. We typically choose places with air con but the floor fan plus the fact the design of the bungalow allows air to flow through meant it was cool enough for us to sleep -...

Instead of enjoying the beach I lay in my hammock and watched the howling monkeys, colibris and crabs. The bungalow is unbelievably clean and well equipped. What a pity that I will only stay one night....

Stayed two nights at Bungalows Ache and what a review I have! First night I woke up at 5:00 AM to howler monkeys and other wildlife. Hiked all day at Cahuita park and returned to my bungalow to find the whole area screaming with more howler monkeys. Then the white face monkeys came through and I was able to feed...

My husband and I stayed a couple of nights with Doris at Bungalows Ache and we totally enjoyed the experience of being in the middle of the jungle. We traveled for 10 days in Costa Rica and this spot was by far the place where we saw and heard more monkeys! OMG! Even more than in the National Parks!! The...

I had a pleasant 4 night stay here in September. Doris is a pleasant and responsive host. I saw tons of wildlife from the bungalow deck, including capuchin and howler monkeys, agouti, a raccoon and iguanas. The bungalows themselves are pretty basic. No screens on the windows, and mosquito nets with some gaps. The bed was not particularly comfortable, and...

Thanks for providing such detailed feedback. We are very grateful to be in such a magical location full of wildlife and we're thrilled that you feel teh same way. You did stay while it was exceptionally hot so we're sorry if you were not as comfortable as you should have been. The decision not to screen the windows was based...

Our favorite place we stayed in Costa Rica. There are three bungalows- we recommend the farthest one on the end with the two beds. We stayed here over Christmas and loved it. It rained a lot, and we didn't even care! We would sit out on the porch a lot and watch for animals right outside our door. We saw...

We chose Bongalow Ache base on photos from internet (thanks TripAdvisor). Alway is possible to make mistake in such case but this time it was no mistake. Bungalow Ache are located in perfect place practically on border with National Park. Very good place, comfortable with all things which you need for stay. For sure I recommend this place.

Thanks for taking the time to write a review of your stay with us and we are very happy to read your kind words. We really are lucky to be located as close as we are to the National Park and it is always so nice when our guests enjoy the wildlife as much as we do. Hope to see...

Unfortunately, Bungalow Aché hasn't been the paradise that we have imagined. The room was pretty dirty, dusty and full of mosquitos, other little insects ,and geckos. Of course, we were in the middle of the forest, but we haven't found others accommodations as dirty as Bungalow Ache' in our vacation! Besides the place, the owner hasn't been really friendly with us....

I am disappointed to read that our cabins did not meet up to your expectations. I too would expect to have a clean room. Our wooden rooms are rustic and the nature of the material means that the walls cannot be painted white so may not appear as bright as a concrete and tiled building, even when they have been...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Cahuita and its National Park are an irresistible attraction to nature lovers. Cahuita maintains its Afro-Caribbean style; its characteristic houses, reggae music and calypso in the air. We are situated on the edge of the Cahuita National Park. It is an ideal place for those who wish to relax and appreciate the local flora and fauna, listen to birdsong and watch the monkeys high in the huge trees. ... more   less
