I wanted to give my visiting son a taste of the Caribbean, but we were on a budget. Coco Loco caught my eye because it was close to town but off the main drag. We arrived late in the day, but no problem. These cute and cozy cabins are just right and in walking distance to all of Puerto Viejo....

This tight little place is located in the corner of Puerto Viejo, away from the noise but close enough to walk everywhere. But while you're lounging in your hammock, every cabin has one, out on your very own porch, you might not even feel the need to leave. And the staff is AWESOME!! Also, the chill cats and dogs are...

We spent one night at Coco Loco on our way to Panama. The bungalow was beautiful, very clean, and exactly what we expected. You cannot get better accommodations at that price point! Would happily stay again!

I stayed there through the Fourth of July weekend and it was amazing. I had the time of my life here. Certainly, Puerto Viejo is the land that time has forgotten...It has Caribbean reggae and rasta vibes with "no worries" time management among many of the locals. I appreciate Manolo and Maria's great hospitality, advice, and insight. They were very...

We had a very nice 2 week stay at the Coco Loco in May 2010. The Coco Loco grounds are beautiful. The staff was always friendly and helpful. Our bungalow with kitchen was clean and comfortable. We prepared most of our own meals. The location of Coco Loco was excellent, only 2 short blocks to the beach and shopping but...

We traveled for 2 weeks to Puerto Viejo and slept at Coco Loco Lodge. We only wanted to stay here for a few days, but this place was so excellent, that we decided to extend this trip. The bungalows are clean and big enough, with fridge and hammocks. The service was very good and we also had a funny time...

My daughter and I spent 4 nights at Coco Loco last week. What a great place! We arrived there after our trip to Monteverde, and were very pleasantly surprised by the clean, comfortable Lodge and the extremely friendly and helpful staff. The cabin was immaculate and the grounds were extremely well manicured. When we came back form our days out...

We loved the Coco Loco Lodge! The staff was so helpful, answered all of our questions and offered suggestions on where to eat and what to do. We always felt safe, away from the main part of town, loved that there was a safe where we could lock up our stuff and leave it without worries. Our bungalow was amazing,...
