Loved the cabin, gardens, pool. Just across the road from the beach. For me, the 'three course' breakfast was always too much but at least it provided some choice and we did take some of the fruit with us on our trips. Why not 5 star ? My opinion is that it's too small to run a restaurant as they... More

Beautiful garden, private and spacious bungalow, swimming pool. Loved it. Parking lot available at hotel. Breakfast needed to be ordered the day before but was really good. Service was OK. I'm really critical normally, but really loved this place and would recommend it to anyone traveling to Peurto Viejo and looking for some peace and quiet in a tropical decor.... More

We stayed here for three nights and just loved it. This is a small boutique type hotel with individual little cabins set back in the forest, with gorgeous tropical gardens surrounding them. The cabins are quite rustic, with wooden lattice work, covered with screens, just like the houses in town. They have three beds in each: one queen size, one... More

We loved it. My young adult daughters and I spent a fantastic week here in March. Azania Bungalows is beautiful: the garden is lovely and full of life (flowers, birds, an agouti enjoying coconuts, backdrop of jungle monkey sounds every morning); a sparkling and refreshing pool, bungalows and the restaurant landscaped into the garden with curving pathways and arty carved... The room and the grounds of Azania are beautiful. The entrance to the beach is directly across the road, which is convenient. Guests can rent a bike for the day for only $5.00. What I did not like is that the room did not have a dresser so I felt that we were living out of our suitcase. Also, there... More

Nice, quiet little hotel. Perfect for those wanting access to Puerto Viejo but who also want to be out of the bustle. Each bungalow has its own verandah and hammock. Inside, there is a mini fridge (in which they left us a bottle of bubbles, as it was our honeymoon), a large flatscreen TV, and enough beds for four people.... More

We really loved it there. Out hut was really charming (they all are), has a nice queen sized bed and 2 single beds (one on the mezzanine and one on the same floor). The staff was friendly, the setting very nice, away from the noisy town center and 30meters from the seaside. Best stay in Costa Rica

The bungalows are nice, quiet, quaint. I loved having a loft and extra bed in the large room, though it was just my husband and I staying in the room. Breakfast was somewhat confusing. They offered fruit and toast to everyone and then allowed one selection from a list of entres. I chose the entre that was fruit plate. Because... More

I stayed at Azania Bungalows for 5 nights and it was great! It is very private with trees and leaves surrounding each bungalow, but also have the lively town of Puerto Viejo just a walk away and the beach right accross the street! The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They have bikes for rent for only $5/day which is... More

We stayed here for 3 nights. It is a charming property! There are about 10 bungalows, so it's a small, intimate place. We loved the front deck of our bungalow, with benches and hammock. The inside was just slightly dark. We were glad to have a decent size mini fridge in the room. We had no problems with the shower,... More
