Old cottage of beautiful local architecture. No air conditioning but very fresh construction. Semi-Isolated bungalow. Has parking facility. Beach is 150 meters, but not very nice to swim. Clean and comfortable.

We spent 2 nights in one of the beach cottages and found it a great experience. The cottage was well equipped and airy. The beach was a 100 metre walk away and was quiet and sandy. The reception staff were very helpful and there was a supermarket 5 minutes walk down the road. Good value for money.

We went with friends and stayed at one of the houses. They are very nice, but not luxurious... They could be a little bit more clean and change the towels and sheets that are a bit old. It is close to a very nice beach.... The people are very nice!!

Really enjoyed our two nights here! Very cosy and we had a little kitchen where we could cook and eat on our veranda. Very quiet area, beach was deserted and we swam in the sea in privacy. Hummingbirds flew around in the morning! Howler monkey visited area one morning. This coastline is beautiful. Would come back here and feel that... More

We stayed in one of the cabins for three days. The cabins are being allowed to deteriorate; doesn't seem like the owner is making any investment in keeping them up. They are covered with rusty nail holes -- kind of depressing. Plus there are no screens on the windows, and they are nailed shut, so you have very little air... More

My wife and I rented a bungalow for 7 weeks in the beginning of this year. While we enjoyed the setting and service very much, the community dogs made much of our stay miserable. Not once did any human tell a dog to be quiet. Acceptable to them, not to me to listen to dogs barking over an hour at... More

We just got back from Costa Rica two days ago and I miss Aguas Claras too a fault. We stayed in the Blue Cottage and it was awesome. It was so clean and well maintained. It was roomy and well ventilated. There is a high ceiling fan which gave the cottage a nice "breeze" inside. There is no A/C but... More

We stayed in the blue house recently. What a great experience. We were only a two-minute walk to the beach down a little path, and everyday we saw monkeys, sloths, and beautiful birds around our cabin. The cabins are equipped with a fridge, range, toaster oven, and coffee maker. They are clean and well-decorated. We were definitely allowed to talk... More

Puerto Viejo, Cocles, Playa Chiquita, Punta Uva and Manzanillo are the BEST beaches in Costa Rica and every chance I have for a vacation time, I try to spend it in the Caribbean Coast. This time my friends and I plan a trip to Limon and we stayed at "Aguas Claras" the place is nice, spacious and fully equipped but... More
