When we arrived at the boat in La Pavona they already had someone keeping an eye out for us. We arrived to lovely grounds, very clean rooms, a new born litter of puppies on the property and a peaceful environment. Wonderful dinner on the property - Miss Junie can cook and how. They arranged an amazing tour guide for us... More

Very nice stay at Miss Junie hotel. Right in the heart of Tortuguero village and a few steps from the beach it offers cute rooms. Free Wifi available in all the building. All the Staff is very friendly and they will come pick you up at the dock when you arrive with the boat.

If you want a place with history this is the one. Taylor Martinez Family is amazing. They take care of turtles since the beggining of times in town. The service is excelent, and the food is hard to even describe to be fair to how delicious it is. Noli and Cloid are excelent guides and miss Junie a history book... More

The wooden lodge stradles the land between the Caribbean and Tortuguero Lagoon. The location of the hotel is perfect as it is located in the town of Tortuguero just a few minutes walking from the boat. The gardens provided plenty of wildlife, birds, iquanas and lizards. There are chairs and hammocks in the garden, where you can sit and watch... More

We only stayed here as the village was busy and there weren't any cheap rooms left, so spent a little extra ($55 for a night) and stayed at miss junie's. It was absolutely superb, with beautiful grounds and surroundings and an unbeatable ambience where you can lie in a hammock and read or just relax and take it all in.... More

My Family and I really enjoyed our 3 days/2nights stay in Miss Junie's. It is a perfect place to discover turtles and do all sorts of activities available in Tortugero. Most of these activities are offered by the staff of Miss Junie's. In my opinion it is the best location in the village. The well kept garden is a highlight... More

miss junies relies on its past history to earn it's reputation as a great place to stay. We liked the location and loved watching the birds. from our balcony. However the decor in the rooms was outdated, the shower was cold and there is no aircon only a noisy fan. We were part of a group of 12 and we... More

Me and my girlfriend were there for 3 nights and had a great time! Staff are really friendly and helpful. Our guide (who was working with the hotel), Cloied, was one of the best we had in Costa Rica. Place is atmospheric and cozy, the only real negative thing about the hotel is that it doesn't have air-conditioning, and tortuguero... More

Nice ancient and wooden house with very comfortable rooms given to the beach or the river. Charming style, surrounded by nice gardens. Very calm yet next to the village to wander in the little and pleasant main street. Very nice staff. Good breakfast. We wish we could stay more time.

The hotel is located towards the end of the village right between the river and the beach on the Caribbean coast. Very friendly staff and family atmosphere. Good food served at the restaurant but can be very slow for service. They organize a whole bunch of activities such as boat and walking tours into Tortuguero National Park and a very... More
