Pachira Lodge can only be described as flawless-from the seamless transfers to and from San Jose, to the great rooms, pool area, meals and tours, the trip was very relaxing in a beautiful wild jungle setting. You couldn't find more helpful staff and guides anywhere! Exceptional wildlife sightings. Overall-I highly recommend this property.

We loved this place most of all the hotels we stayed on our tour, by no means the most luxurious but the surroundings more than made up for it. The rooms are basic but more than adequate for a couple of nights stay. Little blocks of rooms were dotted along the paths but beware getting lost as we ended up...

The transfer from San Jose was longer than expected so I would advise others to be prepared, bring snacks and understand that you will not be near any restrooms for roughly 3 hours. When you arrive at the boats that will take you on the one and a half hour trip to the lodge there are bathrooms but you will...

Terrific place. On the National Park side of the water rather than townside, but this gives a remote and isolation feel to the place. The rooms are lodges - a little basic - within the beautiful grounds - the flora is superb, and plenty of fauna as well. You won't need an alarm clock, the Howler Monkeys suffice, although we...

This is a lodge in the middle of the jungle with only access by boat. This is an eco lodge so their motto is conserve both water and electricity. Rooms are located off paths in the forest....four rooms to a cabin. The walls are paper thin so hope that your neighbours are quiet. There is hot water in the shower...

Some things in life are just perfect and Pachira Lodge is one of them. If you are looking for 5 star accommodation with all the mod cons don't come here. If you are looking for a little piece of wonderfulness come. The rooms are rustic and in a forest. yes there may be an ant in your wash basin and...

Rooms were rather basic with slightly damp uncomfortable mattress and food also was kind of bland. But location was five star. Beautiful pool and decking with swivel chairs allowing you to drink a beer with stunning views of the canal right in front of you. Grounds of hotels had monkeys and birds.

Information given to us by our travel agent prior to this trip indicated a strict luggage allowance of 12kg but this appears to be ignored. Fine, but Pachira Lodge, please either update your information to travel agents or uphold your policy. The rooms were small and dark but adequate. The food was self-service and pleasant enough but was effectively mass...

This was our first stop on a round trip and a great way to start our holiday. What an amazing journey from San Jose. First by coach, with a stopover for a very nice breakfast, and then a transfer by boat through the rain forest to the lodges, seeing a diversity of wild life en route. Getting suitcases from the...

We had a couple of nights stay in this magical place. There are no roads so you go everywhere by boat. Our two hour trip up the river was amazing with lots of birds, reptiles and animals to see. The lodges are extremely comfortable and set in beautiful tropical surroundings close to the Caribbean Sea. There is a good walking...
