This is our happy place in Costa Rica. We have done a lot of traveling throughout the country but we always come back to Rafiki Safari Lodge and Rafiki Beach Camp. We have done all the excellent activities multiple times (white water rafting, aqua hike,...More
This was our first trip to Costa Rica, and we chose to stay at Rafiki because our well-traveled friend recommended this place as her favorite place in the world. We stayed at Rafiki for the first 3 nights, and we loved it so much that...More

Thank you very much for taking the time to write such a complete review. We are elated that you had a good time!
Spent four days at Rafiki. The views are out of this world, remind you of Jurassic Park. Wildlife is plentiful, the tent lodges are very comfortable, the food is terrific, and Carlo and Janell Boshoff, along with the entire staff and incredibly friendly and helpful....More

The Savegre Valley brings cool breezes from over 12,000 feet down to the camp, so it is quite pleasant at night. Rafiki is not really all that buggy. You will find the beaches in the country to have more bugs. We (unfortunetaly in my opinion) have improved the internet at the lodge. You don't have to tell your kids, but yes there is good quality wifi. I prefer to see family play cards, engage in conversation with other families, sit in the hot tub and watch the stars, or go down the slide at night (yeooow!).Let me know if you have any other questions! Sincerely, Lautjie
