This is a sad story. Last January, my children's mother -- my ex -- died unexpectedly. I had had a trip planned to Playa Nicuesa Rainforest Lodge for about a month later; it was a tragic and terrible time for us and obviously I could not go on a trip. I immediately contacted the lodge, sent them links to the...

I just loved my stay here, and I hope to repeat it. Excellence, friendly staff, accommodations located right in the tropical forest. You can be really disconnected, just surrounded by nature. All accommodations provide spectacular views of the rainforest. Really, a true sense of being in touch with nature! Dalila Alfaro - Costa Rica Just 4 U Travel Agency

We had a family gathering at the beautiful Nicuesa Lodge in July and it was a trip I will remember. The grounds are lovely--lush and green and full of flowers, surrounded by rain forests which can be explored through the many nature paths that lead out from the lodge. My young kids had a great time watching all the animals...

Great small lodge in a unique area in southern costa rica. Food was great (though all family style so few options). Recommend getting the 1 bedrooms off of the main lodge for increased privacy. Enough activities to fill at least 3-4 days, though not all activities are possible every day.
