Thinking back to my stay here when visiting Costa Rica still makes me happy. It was the second stay following a business trip at another property that had been disappointing. The Zephyr Palace was anything but! After driving up a bumpy road, you pull up...More

This hotel is unexpected in every way. One man’s fantasy perched on a hilltop overlooking the sea. It comes complete with a fake Roman amphitheater and themed rooms. We had the Africa suite which has stunning ocean views and hilarious bad taste in African kitsch....More

Renting a car was next to impossible they want 3000.00 deposit.... relax and take a taxi. (Villa Caletas is the name of the resort.) they have room service and if you call the front desk when your ready for breakfast they will send a cart to pick you up and bring you to the restaurant area. There is a mini barin your room at the palace, and a phone that you can call and get drinks delivered to your room or the pool. I can not express how beautiful this property is. There is a concierge on sight who is also very helpful.
You may have already found it, but if you're still looking for pics the Zephyr website has 'virtual tours' of each suite -and its bathroom. I guess I can't post a link but
