Went on a quiet Wednesday afternoon after a business meeting. Place was spotless. Had a couple of ceviches and drinks with my partner for a quick, light lunch. The food was great. With seats right off the beach, we enjoyed the breeze and an awesome view. Tad expensive but worty it. Built to impress!

El Hicaco was recommended by our hotel, Marriott Los Suenos. The location of the restaurant is perfect- We sat on the patio overlooking the Pacific Ocean with a beautiful breeze cooling us. Our server Jason, was a gem! He was informative, helpful and obliging, changing the fish in the ceviche that I ordered, to suit my dietary requirements. Nothing was...

This is my second year coming Costa Rica to go fishing and second time eating here. This restaurant is 15 minutes from Los Sueños. Great location. You can seat at a wooden deck facing the beach. Great place to watch sunset. Food is good. Service is very good and it is priced reasonably.

This is one of the few restaurants directly on the beach in Jacó and the only one we visited. Very romantic place to watch the sunset and dine looking out over the Pacific. Our server, José, was awesome -- very quick to greet me and my boyfriend after arriving, quick with drinks and to point out and recommend starters and...

We went for dinner 1/8/2017. When we walked in there were only a couple occupied tables. The Greeter asked if we had reservations. We said we did not they made us wait several minutes then tried to sit us at the worst table. We asked to be seated elsewhere and they did. When we were seated the server asked if...

Access to the restaurant is from the sand on the beach - which tells you about its proximity to the ocean and the view, or the street. The place exudes class - linen tablecloths, (all male) servers in starched and pressed uniforms, cool reggae coffeehouse music for ambience, and absolutely delicious food. My party of four all remarked at the...

El Hicaco restaurant in Jaco is a place worth visiting. The wooden chairs and high ceilings with decorative ceiling fans make for an ambience that is quite pleasant during a meal right on the Pacific Beach-front. We dine there at least once every time we shoot down to Jaco Beach. Rustic elegance with good service from the wait staff. Gustavo...

We went there last night for Lobster Fest which they offer every Wednesday. I have to say that was the Worst meals I have had in a long time. I was there with my wife and the bill was 145 US dollars which was a ripoff. There was nothing appetizing in their entire buffet. Their big draw was tired longusta...

My girlfriend wanted a place to dine by the beach that wasn't a bar and served something more high-end than street food. We wandered to El Hicaco and it turned out pretty well. They had a trio playing on the beach (flute, guitar, and hand drums) that was rather outstanding and certainly added to the experience. About all I can...

This was by far one our best dining experiences. We love to eat out, and when traveling it can be difficult to choose a restaurant with better that average food and service, plus atmosphere. El Hicaco has it all!!! From the moment we walked in after a long drive and checking into our hotel (will review that later), we felt...
