Loved this place. Sure, It could use some minor improvements. But remember its a hostel. I rated it high for its friendly staff. Carlos the manager is always around to help. The front desk staff was very helpful. Especially kind was Lindsay. She spoke excellent English and always had a smile!

The hostel is situated near the top of the hill above Manual Antonio - about a 5-10 bus ride from the beach and the national park. The hostel is split into three areas - dorms and kitchen in one building, mostly private rooms in another at the same level on the hill, and a pool and bar area down the...

The other reviews describle the private rooms very well. They are stuffy, musty and there literally was nowhere to place our things except for a small bench. The showers that are far down the hall in the private area had tons of little moths munching on a clementine which had obviously been there for awhile....overall not a clean hostel. The...

The review below mine sums up my comments quite well! We had a private double room that was literally a bed, 4 walls and an air conditioner. There isn't anywhere to put your stuff, no hooks, etc. Our room had 2 windows and sheer curtains so our room was very bright at night because we couldn't block out the lights....

This was the worst place we've ever stayed at. Rip-Off! 3 nights, a double for 40 USD p/n, just a queen bed and a tiled floor, that was it. No chair, no hooks for towels, no sideboard, no nothing. When leaving the room we were welcomed by an intense smell of ammonia, of which we still don't know where it...

Far from the city and beach, no ac, staff is sketchy, and they are unaware of what is happening at their hostel. We checked in, the rooms were a mess, they hand you sheets to make your own bed. The bed had mold on it. Ew. When we got moved in, the next two girls to check in got their...

I had a local witness (mother - very classy lady) tell me that she saw the cleaning lady steal my shoes and bag, I later know that she stole my shorts also and shirt. i told the owner and he started yelling and intimidating me and the lady that told me. He also tried to twist the story because it...

This hostel is great to spend your time in Manuel Antonio. It's located in the village itself, 5km from the National Park. But the bus-stop (700 colones) is in front of the hostel. I had an private room at the same level as the reception (the level were the wifi works), the room was quite large and clean and has...

A very pleasant hostel, clean and well built. We had a private room with a shared bathroom. The place has a pool and a resident sloth to look at. There are some good restaurants and supermarkets really close by. The downside - it is far from the beach and the national park. You have to take a bus, or a...
