Manuel Antonio National Park was the last stop on our trip. The Plaza Yara Hotel followed our stays at lodges with property so we were a little let down on first seeing the place. Our room was fine. Large, actually, well appointed with art typical of the area and homey wood furniture. There was a small but adequate patio that...

We're on our second of four days at Hotel Plaza Yara and we are very happy with the accommodations and people who own and manage the property. Very personal service, excellent breakfast. Additionally, the man running the front desk is also a biologist who led us on a personal tour of the rainforest. Highly recommended!

This is got to be one of the best boutique hotels I have ever stayed in, and I have traveled all over the world staying in some very nice boutique hotels in: Amsterdam, France, Bali, North Wales, Portugal, Venice and Spain. I find that most boutique hotels are good at one thing and not other things, where Hotel Plaza Yara...

This hotel had one of the largest rooms we had in 2 weeks, on the 3rd floor facing the pool below and the trees behind the hotel. The check in is in the art gallery on the first floor of the hotel, and the entire hotel is nicely decorated with local art. Our room (#4 I think) had a kitchenette,...

We stayed at Plaza Yara with our two young kids, 6 and 3. We had a wonderful, big room and balcony to hang out overlooking the pools and hot tub (though that one was a bit refreshing;)) The property is clean and neat and has the perfect location if you are busy traveling around and want to be active. It...

Mid range hotel that succeeds in providing top level service. Large and comfortable rooms with beds that were quite comfortable. Hotel provides a basic and limited breakfast, but it was nourishing nevertheless. Wait staff were amazing.
