I stayed in a triple room with my 2 children. The location was great : short walk to the beach and to the stunning national park. There is a small pool but it is very pleasant. and lots of room to lounge around. Lots of wild life : saw iguanas, lizards, frogs and birds. There is a nice restaurant near...

Lots of things to like about this hotel. We enjoyed a three-night stay in one of the rooms with a kitchenette. The location is convenient because it's a short walk both to the entrance of Parque Manuel Antonio and also the public beach, Playa Espadilla, as well as shops and restaurants. The food in the hotel restaurant is excellent, and...

We were told about his place by a Tico friend who does guided tours all over the country. Our room was awesome - a king bed with an alcove holding a twin bed for our daughter. Service from the front desk to maid to bar/restaurant was impressive. Friendly, quick and everyone made an effort to make sure we had a...

When our transfer brought us too early for check in, the hotel staff graciously stowed our luggage behind their locked counter so we could relax unencumbered while we waited. Our room was clean and mostly quiet, with the exception of a noisy air conditioner unit that had a habit of shutting off and restarting a few seconds later with a...

We stayed here for 4 nights in February. Short walk to the beach for morning walks and sunsets. We had the junior suite...just loved the room. We had a large jacuzzi tub and a fridge...and robes and wine glasses. The free breakfasts were above average. The swimming pool and happy hour drinks were a delight. The temperature of the pool...

Best of the five hotels that we have stayed in while on our trip to Costa Rica. All have been rated around three stars but the Espadilla hotel deserves to be at least four star for the facilities and for where it is located. Throughout staff have been friendly and helpful, free and good Wi-Fi, free safe and rooms done...

What a lovely hotel! The grounds are lush, beautifully manicured and maintained, and close to the forest with a nature trail. In the evenings and mornings, howler monkeys can be heard nearby. The pool area is relaxing and the open-air restaurant serves very good food in a restful, classy ambiance. Definitely eat there!

We thought we were booking a 3 or 4 star hotel and so we were disappointed in the room. It was like a Motel 6 with thin walls. Very basic room and the bathroom was small. Could not get hot water in the sink. Bed was comfortable enough and glad to see a fridge. The restaurant was a nice surprise,...
