My husband and I stayed at Villa Bosque for a week. It is a small family-owned hotel with all the advantages of smallness and family atmosphere. After initial confusion we got a wonderful room very near the restaurant (surprisingly, it was not noisy, nor did we smell restaurant smells--air conditioning is excellent). Beds were comfortable, atmosphere was cheerful, the two...

We stayed here for a couple nights while visiting Costa Rica- we chose this hotel because of its handy location to the beach, the national park and restaurants. It was all that we wanted and more-such a pretty hotel with all the authentic cultural charm in a hotel you have come to enjoy while travelling . The beautiful Spanish decor...

We ate here on our last night in Costa Rica. We had local food. Nachos to share and I had chicken in honey, soy and ginger which was a tad salty because of too much soy. My husband had steak in the same dressing and was not keen on the flavours. Cocktails were good. The other couple we were with...

I had a very nice stay at this hotel the staff was very friendly and helpful from bus info to and from San Jose to helping me set up a couple of tours. Everyone there was friendly. The room was clean and the food was great. I would go back to this hotel again.

Stayed here as last part of Exodus trip. The location is perfect for Manuel Antonio National Park which is beautiful with a stunning beach and troops of monkeys to keep us entertained. I absolutely loved the hotel, gorgeous room 14 with spacious balcony, comfy bed and good A/c. The pool is a great place for chilling out after the national...

We had a brilliant stay here in October. We originally booked in for two nights but made a late change and stayed for three nights. The staff were so nice and friendly and really made us feel welcome. The hotel is quirky, as was the lay-out of our room but that added to the charm (the sink was in the...

First the pros - this is a very quaint hotel with lovely furnishings and tasteful decor. Someone referred to it as "old" but if you want to call beautiful antique furniture old that would be true as well. The location can't be beat! A few blocks in one direction is the entrance to Manuel Antonio National Park and 2 blocks...

We saw this hotel on the internet and by the look of it, it was nice so the $160 per night seemed reasonable. We got the last room available and it was nothing like any picture we saw. Really old ugly furnishing and you could listen every single person walking or talking outside, so we couldn't sleep properly. The breakfast...

We stayed at this hotel at the end of February 2017. The woman who checked us in on Sunday was very friendly, and made us feel right at home, despite our limited Spanish (most of the staff is bi-lingual). We were pleasantly surprised at the beautiful hotel grounds, and easy parking right in front of the entrance. The road that...

They advertise wifi but it's not available in rooms, which means you're outside in the heat if you want to be online. Perhaps not too much of a problem to be outside because the a/c is also intermittent. Lots of apologies but little attempt to make up for any of this. However, great location.
