We stayed here during the rainy season for six nights in August. After hearing wonderful things about Costa Rica and searching for months to find the perfect place to stay I finally stumbled upon this gem, with great reviews and pictures. We normally do not stay at resort style hotels so I was a little nervous that we would not...

We are thrilled you enjoyed your stay with us here at Gaia Hotel & Reserve. You chose a great month to come....but actually, every month is a great month with various attributes that make the experience special. Our project to reintroduce the beautiful scarlet macaws back into the local area is now a year old and we have approximately 20...

The location of this hotel is amazing... fabulous views, wonderful reserve with a free tour (very informative and interesting)... This property is peaceful and relaxing. The food was great - amazingly fresh fruit! The tiered pools were our favorite, especially when the fantastic bartender, Joshua, was serving up tropical drinks (which was usually the case! :). We went on the...

What a wonderful review by wonderful guests. Thank you so much for sharing with others on this TripAdvisor forum. Gaia is truly a quiet oasis with calm and tranquility surrounding us as we sit high on top of Gaia Mountain. The sounds of water, birds, frogs, reptiles and gentle breezes make for an extremely peaceful stay. Our numerous guests can...

My wife and I stayed for 5 nights. This was perhaps the nicest hotel at which we have ever stayed. The location is unbelievable - on a hilltop overlooking the Pacific. Our room looked onto the preserve, not the ocean; we watched the sunsets either in the pool (the pool itself) or the pool bar) or from the balcony of...

I was in Costa Rica for over three weeks. This was by far the nicest and most luxurious place I stayed at during the trip. The amenities are plentiful: gym, spa, leveled pools, bar, restaurant, fast internet, and they even have their own nature reserve. While hanging out at the restaurant, you can occassionally see beautiful, colorful parrots flying by....

Very Nice, but it needs some work on the Reserve part (better trail markers, better maintenance of the trails). Restaurant is pretty and clean and serves excellent food. Pool could be heated more. I wish it had direct access to the beach - then it would be 5*

Thanking our recent guests for choosing Gaia Hotel & Reserve and staying with us this month. We truly enjoyed having you on our property. I just want to let you know that at this time of year with the very strong winds at night that pass by very quickly, maintaining the trails in a clean fashion is almost impossible. Likewise,...

My partner and me decided to spend 2 days at Gaia Hotel after hearing wonderful references from our travel agent. To be honest it was the most memorable hotel experience in Costa Rica ever. “Jungle view suite had excellent views, and the room itself was large.”
 of 5 bubbles chasem8941, 22 Mar 2017 | Read review
“Just a heads up: the format of the hotel, built into a hill, means that certain rooms require a LOT of walking up steep inclines and/or steps, just to get from the room to the pool or the main building. In the heat and humidity it can be tedious, even for healthy people. If you have any mobility limitations, be sure to book a room that doesn't require as much walking around (which may limit your fare options).”
