Anamaya is a luxury boutique hotel and yoga retreat center in the beautiful beach town of Montezuma, Costa Rica. We have the best view of any hotel in the area, and are right next door to famous Montezuma Falls, …Morewhich is a 5 minute walk from our property. The hotel is decorated in a very artistic, Bohemian, yet luxurious style that creates a very exotic feel. Less

Patrick - I don’t know if you’re still waiting to hear about this place. But if you are - I think it’s be a wonderful place for you to come. Several attending guests are solo travelers; and even if they’re not - the retreat makes everyone feel like family. You can do nothing but relax by the pool everyday, take yoga, learn to surf, even hike to a waterfall. The only strenuous activity is walking up the road from town if you decide to venture out (very steep). But taxis are readily available for cheap. Ages range from 20s-60s. Last time I went, my father had recently passed away - the experience was very cathartic and memorable. I think you’d love it!

We had a huge range of ages from early 20s to 60s - but to be honest, I didn't know anyone's ages until the end of the trip when we decided to share. Some of the group went out dancing at the local bar several times during the week, others were early to bed or stayed up late having wine on-site at the resort - and that wasn't really age-dependent. It's kind of the beauty of the place - you get to know people without context (age, whether they have kids or are married, etc.), just as they are.
