The decision to stay at El Jardin was the best choice we made. Our group was a total of 5 people and we got a poolside room with 2 double beds and a single bed. The room was spacious enough for our group and there was plenty of closet space, plus a mini fridge. The bathroom was nice, there was...

Montezuma is a small village in the NIcoya Peninsula of Costa Rica known for its nice beach and almost unspoiled nature, bad roads, laid back atmosphere and tons of backpackers! My GF and I arrived around 8 pm after a tiring drive from San José, we as usual arrived without reservation since we prefer to look at the place first,...

My husband and I stayed at El Jardin for 5 nights in July 2011. We were happy with the location (right in town, about 100 yards from the ocean) and the accommodations were exactly what we expected: simple and clean. The a/c didn't work one night we were there (which was kind of miserable), but other than that we were...

i've stayed at el jardin twice...once in december & once in april, both visits for a week each. i love this place. in dec, we had a clean room next to the pool away from the street. the staff was great...polite and courteous, always willing to help. the guard, julio, at the time was a little creepy, but he did...

Kudos to the photographer of their website, who made the hotel seem a lot bigger than it actually is.. my first impression was: well, this seems a bit different.. Anyway, we got to the front desk at lunch time, so the person in charge was gone, some random (security?) guy gave us access to our room by just telling him...

We had a wonderful stay at El Jardin! The owner Estaban was very helpful with arranging tours and with everything else. We stayed in room # 6. The rooms are basic, very very clean and the patio with a hammock was downright delightful. The grounds are beautiful kept and nothing beats soaking up in the jarcuzzi after a full day...

We absolutely loved this place. It's right in the center of montezuma. a 1 minute walk to the restaurants and shops and 2 minutes for the beach. We had no problem with noise from the town, the only noise we heard was from the birds and howler monkeys in the garden. And thats a lovely noise!! The pool was clean...

We rolled into Montezuma without a reservation anywhere and found El Jardin. The jolly gardens with private swimming pool and jacuzzi sucked us right in. Delicious coffee and bananas in the morning, free wifi, pleasant staff and great location: 2 steps from town, though you would never know it from within the room and pool. We would definitely stay another...

My guide book recommended this hotel so we stayed here for two nights. We picked this hotel because it said it had a jacuzzi. Well, it does but they never turn on the heat so its freezing cold right now. I give this two stars only because of the location and view from our balcony. Otherwise, the beds were horribly...
