This was the best place we stayed at in Costa Rica by far. Great family run cabins in a beautiful garden with an equally beautiful pool. The description is exactly what it says on their website, with Ruben and his wife ever helpful. Yes its a walk into town, but you have the peace and quiet of not being in...

My daughter and I stayed in one of the smaller cabins but it was ample, charming and very comfortable--kitchen, bathroom, bedroom with two beds, private porch with hammock and table. The pool area is lush and inviting. But the best part of Casacolores is the friendly atmosphere--the owners and staff are all friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back...

We stayed 3 nights at Casacolores. Accomodations were simple but clean. This is a basic cabin lodge so don't expect fancy country Inn amenities. When we asked for beach towels we were told that was not possible. One day hot water was not working. Wifi works only near the pool and entrance gate. You have to know that the site...

Hello Rupert, You are absolutely right, we are not a fancy country inn lodge, and we are not trying to be either. We are just a small simple family place run by the owners and their family, working very hard to do the very best we can for our guests. That is probably also the reason why many people like us...

I think I've never been so satisfied with a hotel than with this. There's simply nothing to complain of this place. Location, service, cleanliness, everything just excellent! The owners are very kind and attentive. The little houses are beautiful and equipped with everything you might need! The beds are extremely comfy, at night the houses are very fresh and cool,...

We loved our stay at Casacolores. The casas are simple, clean, hot water in the showers. Everything is provided so that guest can cook their own food - a gorgeous breakfast is available at an extra cost. Every member of the family loved this place, it was even difficult to move the kids away and visit or even go to...

My fiance and I stayed here for 3 nights and wanted to stay longer! Wonderful little cabins, fully equipped with everything you could need. Each cabin feels very private, despite being within about 20 feet of another cabin. Wonderful hosts who are happy to book tours and offer advise on places to go, etc. The bed was very comfortable and...

Spent five nights here with my wife this week. Amazing, special spot. We didn't rent a car but walked into town and took a taxi back (5-6.00 per ride) Hotel is run by a lovely couple, very helpful for advice on travel, making dinner reservations, even drove us into town. Lovely breakfast (8.00 charge) fresh fruit, coffee, etc. Well worth...

What a wonderful place! Good price and friendly hosts along with the privacy of having our own lodge hidden amongst the trees but close to the pool and central eating area. This is not luxury accommodation but it has everything you need and plenty of space. It is clean and tidy but of course you get some bugs and things...

My husband and I travelled to Costa for some yoga, surfing and relaxation. Casacolores is a gem just outside of town (recco you have a car). The standalone cabins, wood floors, open porch with dining table and full kitchen were fantastic. We loved the calm environment, nature sounds ( you get woken up by monkeys instead of traffic noise) and...

Brilliant way to start our two weeks in Costa Rica! The grounds are so beautiful, lots of trees, flowers and wildlife, with the colourful houses dotted between. The houses had more privacy that I expected, which was a good thing! They were spacious with a fully equipped kitchen - great for self catering. Plus a large terrace area to eat...
