Perfect setting in a beautifully designed tropical property. Between busy/touristy Montezuma, and sleepy Cabuya, this feels very comfortable and well-situated. Patricia and Simon were always happy to help, without hovering. They were generous with their knowledge and suggestions, and provided lots of assistance re: travel. I HIGHLY recommend getting an ATV to explore the surrounding area!

Sol y Luna is a magical and beautiful place to stay. If you like quiet, remote locations, surrounded by nothing but beautiful nature and wildlife, this is the place for you. Patricia and Simon are perfect hosts and such lovely people. After a heavenly 5 nights here we moved to accommodation in Dominical, and although our new place was also...

Solyluna was the perfect honeymoon. Quiet, relaxing, and a quick 5-minute walk to private beaches. Patricia and Simon was so helpful throughout the process. Getting from the airport in San Jose to Solyluna is quite the trek, but they will help you find a route that fits your style and needs. The bungalow (we stayed in beautiful Sol) contained everything...

Soly luna was just amazing simon & Patricia were so wonderful, they took extra time to give us a map with all the best spots you might otherwise miss. We just loved all the wildlife on their beautiful property, very private and secure. We can't wait to go back. Monkeys everywhere!! And Lola the cat was very sweet as well

We fell in love with Sol y Luna when we first visited last year and have just returned from our second visit. I doubt that there is another spot quite like it. The two secluded bungalows sit in a beautiful jungle garden. They are perfectly designed and thoughtfully equipped, with interesting decorative touches, such as a bathroom mirror framed in...

There are not enough words to express how simply wonderful Sol y Luna is!! Our hosts Patricia & Simon greeted us at the gate with a warm welcome & assisted us with our luggage to Luna (the bungalow we stayed in for 2 glorious weeks). Your senses are immediately transported to a place of lush gardens of lovely flowers, plants...

We had the pleasure of staying at Sol y Luna for four nights during the first week of December 2013. I cannot agree more with all of the glowing reviews. Simon and Patricia were absolutely wonderful hosts. They went out of their way to make us feel welcomed and comfortable, and to ensure that we had all of the information...

It was so wonderful to be back here and to be greeted so kindly by our amazing hosts Patricia and Simon. We stayed here 2 years ago as part of our "round the world" adventure. It was quite simply one of our special memories of the extended trip and we were both so very happy we came back. The lovely...

As so many other reviews have said, Sol y Luna was the perfect spot for our Costa Rican vacation. We were going to Montezuma in mid-November and wanted some place authentic and more isolated than a hotel. After reviewing all the amazing reviews on Sol y Luna, I email Patricia and Simon for more information. Even before we got to...

“We stayed in Luna, but I think Sol would have been equally nice.”

“Both bungalows are great!”

“2 bungalows to choose from, with a larger one being prepared as I write this. It is evident that they put their heart and soul into making Sol y Luna (and Estrella upcoming) a very unique place to experience!”

“We stayed in the Sol bungalow- which i loved the setting of, especially the solitude of the porch, but the Luna bungalow (set higher on a hill) is lovely with a serene color palette. Both bungalows have the same floor plan and are mirror images of each other; though the Luna has a daybed while Luna has a wooden bench across from the bed. They are also opening up a larger house that is absolutely stunning, though the landscaping isn't as mature as the smaller bungalows yet.”
