My luck to visit this lodge during an intense rain period. Five days of solid rain did limit my wildlife viewing somewhat. I was able to observe humming birds feeding on nectar however. This wonderful lodge offers an excellent hands on experience of the wildlife and vegetation that makes the Osa Peninsula so appealing. The cabins provide first rate accommadations....

I'm so glad we went! Granted, the drive is a bit of a trek, but it's absolutely worth it! On our first evening we had a stroll to the suspension bridges and saw 'the sloth', macaws, toucans, the biggest owl in Costa Rica and lots of other amazing animals. It was magical! We loved every trip we went on, especially...

My wife and I love to travel and seldom do we find a place that we go back to more than once, but El Remanso is that exception for us. We have been to the Osa five times and twice now to El Remanso. I loved the ecolodge the first time, but after the second trip, I find that it...

And Paradise is exactly what you get, from the moment you are picked up from the NatureAir flight at Puerto Jimenez life gets very special. Our driver pointed out many bird species on our short drive to this wonderful Lodge, the rare Squirrel Monkeys above us as we turned into the drive was just the start to 5 perfect days....

Imagine waking up to the sounds of birds and howler monkeys but not feeling tired at all. You step out of your cabin. It is on top of a hill and surrounded by so many tall trees that it feels like a treehouse. Really. You stare at the Pacific Ocean idly and then decide to take an easy hike down...

We have visited El Remanso Lodge twice in the last year and a half. Both times were absolutely amazing. This ecolodge far exceeded our expectations in every way. Our first visit was just the two of us. We stayed in the La Guinda cabin which was a very nice private cabin with a lovely view of the Pacific Ocean and...

El Remanso is fantastic! Nestled in the heart of the coastal rain forest, with an abundance of wildlife and tropical plants, this place is absolutely gorgeous. The food was delicious with a good variety to choose from at each meal. We took part in several planned activities - nature hikes, zip lining, waterfall rappelling - as well as solo hikes...

My husband and I went to El Remanso for our Honeymoon in August. This gem of a place exceeded all of our expectations! My heart is so warm just thinking about our trip. Trying to narrow down a tropical and exotic retreat for our honeymoon was a bit overwhelming since there are a million places to visit all over the...

El Remanso is Treasure on the map, and getting to this spot is truly an adventure. With something for everyone I was able to both relax and challenge myself. The tasteful elegant rustic decor is my favorite kind of elegance. I felt utterly connected to my environment. I saw many new species of wildlife, some of which I could while...

This beautiful lodge is an inspiration to anyone who cares about the environment. It has been designed with ecological principles in mind and combined with the beautiful scenery and stunning wildlife makes this a must for any visitor to Costa Rica. Our accommodation was very comfortable and the food (we are both vegetarian) was delicious, using locally sourced fruit and...
