This place is deep in the jungle, off the grid, and a singular experience among my travels around the world. When you arrive, you're whisked off in a four wheel vehicle for an hour long drive deeper into the jungle and rainforest, to the lodge, which itself is situated in a nature preserve. The lodge is very attractive, the grounds...

Overall, our experience at El Remanso was outstanding. It is inspirational that Adriana's family had the vision to find and to sustainably develop this beautiful oasis, helping to preserve the rainforest and all its rich diversity. The process cannot have been an easy one. We enjoyed our interactions with the staff and were impressed with their commitment to make our...

This was an outstanding experience for myself and my family. We went over Spring Break 2014 which is at the tail end of the dry season. We had great weather and saw all of the wildlife we wanted to, except the puma that roams the surrounding area. I have included some of the photos from our trip as well. We...

This trip to El Remanso was my gift to myself, my husband, my daughter and her boyfriend. I had been planning this trip for almost 9 months in preparation for my 70th birthday. Gabby was the most helpful and patient person in helping me plan our trip. She was the first smiling face we saw after deplaning in Puerto Jimenez....

We stayed at El Remanso 05-11Nov. We booked "La Guinda" many months in advance as I had my heart set on this secluded cabin which is a short walk from the main lodge. I knew we were in great hands right from the beginning thanks to Gabby (Reservations Manager) who is very efficient, organized and professional. This great first impression...

The Osa Peninsula was the highlight of our vacation! El Remanso was absolutely wonderful! We had so much fun and the tours were amazing! Our guide was Gerardo and he was the best guide! He showed us sloths, scorpions, and we even got to release a poisones snake! The tours we took were the Bird Watching Tour, The Night Tour,...

We can't say enough positive things about El Remanso. If you're looking to experience an unspoiled rainforest -- one of the most biologically diverse habitats on earth -- consider staying here. The lodge is beautiful and the staff is absolutely amazing. The guided tours are highly recommended. Marlon and Jera, our guides on several hikes, are full of knowledge about...

What can I say about El Remanso that hasn't already been said? Firstly, Daniel and Adriana are two genuinely warm, friendly, and caring people who sought to create something different at El Remanso. Combining the most pristine natural surroundings of a wildlife preserve with private cabins, expert tours, and gourmet cuisine, El Remanso exceed all our expectations. We purchased a...

We really couldn't praise this lodge enough. This was our first visit to Costa Rica and we wanted to stay somewhere luxurious, but also in the rainforest so that we could experience as much of it as possible. El Remanso lodge sits on a hill overlooking the Pacific and it is surrounded by the rainforest and blends sympathetically into it....
