On my travel through Costa Rica, Luna Lodge was my favorite place. I was fascinated by the wildlife of the jungle I experienced during my stay on the Peninsula d'Osa and around the Lodge. Scarlet Macaws, Tucans and Blue Morphos were my constant companions and I fell asleep every night with the sound of the jungle. The yoga sessions with...

We arrived after driving around sightseeing with no reservations at all. Once we parked and went in to ask if we could order food, we were warmly greeted, told to sit at tables fro service, then the owner herself came to give us loads of info on the area and resort, tell us we were welcome to hike her trails...

It takes some effort to get to this perfectly sized lodge, but that's all part of the adventure. After the 1.5 hour drive from Puerto Jimenez in a comfortable 4x4 (including several shallow river crossings) you will be warmly welcomed by the friendly staff. Luna Lodge is perched in a stunning jungle setting with glimpses of the Pacific Ocean in...

Warm, friendly staff meet you with smiles and water in stemmed glasses on your arrival, setting the mood for your visit to this beautiful Osa Peninsula retreat. Our thatched bungalow and it's porch view of the ocean coast was a sanctuary in the rainforest with surrounding howler monkeys, distant waves and bird song background. The food was delicious, nourishing in...

Luna Lodge is the most relaxing, tranquil place I've experienced. A new, surreal experience this time was to witness the full moon setting (@5:30 am) and the sun rising while on on the calm, reflective waters of the lagoon in a kayak. The memory of birds and monkeys waking up to a new day is beyond description. Then to have...

Just back from leading a yoga retreat at Luna Lodge. This was our second visit to this amazing place. Now it feels like family, and we are planning another trip in 2018. I love bringing people here for a chance to tune out the noise of modern life and tune in to the quieter voice inside as well as the...

I didn't stay at Luna Lodge, but I went for some yoga, a massage and lunch. Lana was really lovely, as was her mother and her entire staff. My massage and my meal were top notch. The property was really beautiful. I went on the waterfall hike and really enjoyed my morning. You can tell a lot of love and...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Secluded in the tropical rain forest bordering Corcovado National Park, Luna Lodge is a unique resort described by many as "...a piece of true paradise". Its appeal is, not only, its natural beauty and environment, where the heliconia hang three feet long, and the howler monkeys wake you in the morning, but also, its ambiance. The owners' passion for the preservation of the forest is ever present, and the attentive courtesy, friendly staff always serve "con mucho gusto... with pleasure". ... more   less
