Following the advice in TripAdvisor, My wife and I spent four nights, from February 13 through February 16, 2015, at Casa Corcovado, on the Osa Peninsula of Costa Rica, in fair and very warm weather. In every sense it was a delightful and memorable adventure. Now that we’re back in the snow and ice we really miss it. The experience...

I think that this isa well balanced review and it was a good idea to mention that Casa Corcovado is probably not the best place for people with serious health problems or those who need unlimited WiFi. I am happy that this couple enjoyed ther stay with us. Steven Lill owner/founder

Before I review I want to give a few tips to those who skim the first paragraphs. This place is great but it IS in the rainforest and remote so some things should be understood. 1- If you pay by a credit card, there is no swipe or chip technology- it's the old hand-crank method and if your credit card...

Thank you for your comments. This gentleman is correct that for the moment we do not have chip or swipe technology to charge clients at the hotel, so a card with raised numbers would be a big help. We are talking with the credit card company in San Jose to do a trial with a modern system to see if it...

What a wonderful place this is. The unanimous decision of of all the nationalities staying, was that a 3 or 4 day stay was just not long enough. If I had known how much there was to do I would have booked longer than 3 nights and it would have also given us time to kick back and enjoy the...

Luckily this was our last stop in Costa Rica before the long haul back to the UK as it was the high point of our trip. Casa Corcovado's setting surely gives it a head start but the staff and management do everything they can to add value to this. The attention to detail starts before the moment of arrival as...

These visitors from the United Kingdom seem to have had an excellent experience with us at Casa Corcovado and were glad that they saved the best for last. They did have some good advice, the boat ride from Sierpe can be bumpy and the best place to sit is towards the back of the boat. Also they mentioned ''stargazing'', we...

The location is beautiful and very secluded. You can only reach the lodge by boat (1,5 hrs one way). The premises is situated approx. 15 min. by foot to the entrance of the National Park (NP). Therefore very convenient, if you want to hike within Corcovado. The areal of the lodge is up the hill (very steep) from where you...

I do feel bad that this was less than a perfect review. We have had problems with our battery bank and our back- up generator is running more than we like. My goal is to never hear it but when things were running well it was working about four hours a day. We hope to have this problem solved in...
