My wife and I stayed at the lodge for three nights. The location is gorgeous, with ocean views and wonderful nature all around. Ileana and the staff of the lodge were very, very caring, helpful and friendly. We certainly enjoyed the plants and animals, many of which we had never seen in the wild before. The Macaws were especially spectacular....

Punta Marenco possesses many good qualities, but unfortunately, in the end, the bad issues ruined the overall experience. Good Things: 1. Quaint setting with beautiful views (location, location, location). 2. Everyone was VERY nice. 3. Tours and lunches, if you made it on them, were decent. Bad Things: EXTREMELY DISORGANIZED TOURS!!!!! It will be easiest just to tell you of...

We just returned from Punta Marenco Lodge and have very mixed feelings about the place. First the good: It is a beautiful setting, nice staff, very reasonably priced, decent food, cold showers were fine, the lack of a dock and the hike up the hill to the lodge didn't bother us. Some rooms are nicer than others, do not stay...

We stayed at Punta Marenco Lodge for 4 nights with our two children (5 and 11). Our experience was incredible. The food was fantastic, with lots of variety. The staff, especially Carlos and Fernando, were wonderful. They helped us celebrate my wife's Birthday and it is one she will never forget. The activities and the wildlife observation possibilities were truly...

My husband and I recently visited Costa Rica. We lodged at Punta Marenco Lodge. This has been one of the best vacations ever and we loved every single minute of it. The staff at the lodge was really nice and the guides were good too. We loved the communal feeling and a sense of being. The cabinas were basic, but...

I have been to Punta Marenco often and have taken classes there. (I am a college biology professor) My trip in June was with 13 of my relatives (ages 2 to 80) We have found Punta Marenco to be an ideal location and will be returning (this coming February). The people there are truly friendly and helpful. They planned tours...

Punta Marenco offers incredible value. For 1/3 the price of most other lodges, you can live like the monied class! This is our second visit to the Osa Pennisula. My partner, son and I lived in Costa Rica 10 years ago and spent 10 days on Drake's Bay next to a very luxurious eco lodge...We were living on Costa Rican...

An amazing place!! The setting is beautiful, some of the most spectacular jungle and beaches I've seen. The staff was very friendly and always helpful. As a nature buff, the eco-diversity in this region is daunting and the lodge's guides knew tons, I learned a whole lot during my stay. I was a little apprehensive about visiting Central America, after...

Our stay at Punta Marenco Lodge was ok, but the cabins are very very basic. For these prices you expect more. Food is also basic, but good. The staff was very friendly and owner Fernando helped us in any way.

We stayed at Punta Marenco Lodge also referred to as Corcovado eco lodge from December 13 to December 17, 2006. [--- ] It was one of the worst experiences of our lives. Punta Marenco Lodge provided inadequate and incorrect information regarding transportation to the lodge from Sierpe so we initially ended up at the wrong place. When we finally arrived...

“All the main rooms seemed to have fantastic views, just through the top part of the forest canopy onto the option. Each equipped with a balcony and private bathroom. Number 1 and 2 seem to provide the best views. I asked for these and was extremely pleased with no. 1!”

“A place that I visit every year with my groups, great people to deal with, quiet, lots of wildlife, great management and staff. Do not put any attention to bad comments, I had been several times with my student groups and scientific groups and we never had and never will a bad experience. Highly recommend it.”
