El Mirador Osa is located 18 kilometers from finca Alajuela school. We have 6 bungalows with private bathroom, AC, TV skype, wifi, 1 double bed and 2 single beds and nice view from Golfo Dulce Lake and Rio Sierpe lagoon.
We stopped there on our way to Puerto Jiminez only because it was getting dark, and we didn't really want to drive on the Costa Rican roads at night. Great spot and very nice owner and staff. It was a pleasant surprise. I would stay there again. The supper and breakfast that we had were home cooked and very good.

Staying here with this beautiful view in amazing. The owner is a nice man who thinks about his guests. We stopped here to drink something. And we were totally surprised. About the view, the place and the owner. At the moment we left the owner had a very nice gift for me. Thank you for that!

It is a great place to stay if you love the nature. You have a stunning view over the valley. It´s amazing. Best of all are the amount of animals you can see. In the morning when we took breakfast we saw 4 or 5 tucans sitting in the trees and it was great watching them. In the evening you can see and hear the roaring monkeys, they sit so close to you in the trees taking dinner. We even had the possibilty to see agutis serveral times. Kolibris fly around and a lot of diffrent birds. It´s a small paradiese here. In the garden there are lemon trees, a litschi tree, banana plants and lots more. The wooden deck next to the pool you can enjoy the great view over the valley. We walked the small rainforest trail they have near the lodge on their ground. For our children it was really adventourous. We saw great frogs, lizzards, butterflys and big spiders. We really recomend the lodge if you are interested in nature, plants and animals. The people here are very friendly and helpful.…

This place is located in beautiful area, the garden with a spectacular view of the valley is amazing. In the morning we saw tucans, parrots and monkeys right next to our cabin, wich all are lovely by the way, very clean, with (If you like) a small tv, a small patio where you can enjoy the views a cold beer or wine, and a small walking distance away, a nice clean pool The Family who runs the place is very friendly and polite, and do a great job The menu is a small one but offers a variety for everyone and every taste, and its all made fresh to order, and at a reasonable price. Three kinds of menu`s are offered, breakfast, lunch and dinner rotate. We will for sure come back and stay another 1 or 2 nights before driving to Puerto Jimenez or Drake Bay.

Osa Península and Golfo Dulce are beautiful places to visit in Costa Rica. There you can find perfect clean water in the sea, hotels are rustic because this is a protected area, so, buildings can not be big, all activities you can find in Puerto Jiménez are eco friendly and this contribute to nature conservation. Near Puerto Jiménez there is Corcovado National Park, this is an important National Park to Costa Rica's biodiversity, there are tours to visit this big National Park. In Golfo Dulce, you can do dolphin watching on boat around December and January, that's a beautiful tour. To visit Golfo Dulce you don't need a big budget, just need to invest around 6 hours traveling from San José, or, do it by plane.

Our co-in laws came to visit Costa Rica from the US. My wife and I wanted to show then the real Costa Rica and since we had been here before, we thought this would be the perfect place because of the hospitality, costa rican food, as well as the views and nature around the place. Every day we were visited by toucans, parrots, scarlet rumped tanangers, humming birds, guatusas, white face monkeys, howler monkeys and many other wild life. The rooms are simple, and very clean. The breakfast, which is included in the price, is great, it includes eggs, toast, fruit, coffee or tea, and if you like, gallo pinto. The price per room, for two people, is $40 US , you can not beat that. The mornings are spectacular and the sunsets over Golfo Dulce can be stunning. The personnel is very friendly and willing to accommodate everyones needs. They can also arrange boat trips to see dolfins and whales. Best time for whales is August and September.…

It is winter and rainy season here and we feel like this is our private resort. The view of cloud shrouded mountains, the song of the rain on the roof while swinging in the hammock on the patio of our Cabina makes this a magical place. Breakfast and dinner were delicious as always. We lazed by the pool after taking the short but strenuous walk on the nature trail. Don't miss the great 360• view of the Gulf and mountains from the little plateau above the road. The gardens are lushly landscaped. The patio restaurant has the best view and strong wifi.

Spent one night here on the way back from Drake Bay and pleased we did. It offers simple rooms with ok air-con, but great value rates. Perfect for a stop over. Lots of birds can be seen in the grounds along with agoutis and there is a half hour walk which takes you up to a high point with stunning views over the region. Would stay again.

We have stopped at this little eco-friendly establishment a year ago for a cool beverage on our way to Agua Dulce Resort on the Osa Peninsula but decided this time to see if they had accomodations. We found there were 2 cabins available and decided to check them out. Great little cabins with a private bath and A/C. Bed was a little firm but better than being to soft! We had a great meal that evening and we were treated to about 20 Toucans flying all around us and landing in the trees really close to where we were sitting out on our deck. By the way, the decks also have a hammock strung across it. The little swimming pool was way to warm to cool off in but at least it was wet. The floral and fauna around the grounds was well manicured and picture perfect. The staff was extremely helpful, pleasant, and a few spoke English quite well!! One of the staff even took us on a walk up to a vantage point to be able to see a fantastic sunset. I would highly recommend this great little hidden gem!!! Probably the only draw back would be if you have any trouble climbing up and going down a walk way and pavers without a hand railing this could be a problem for you.…

Wake up with the sounds of toucans just in front of your cabin, howler monkeys close by, get up early and enjoy the breathtaking view with a nice fresh breakfast. The view: wow wow wow! So beautiful... Super friendly staff, enjoyed staying here, even if it was just for one night.
