No decoration on the walls, both in the rooms and outside them; that being said, for one night, you can stop there. A decent catering service is offered. Cold and functional, professional staff.

Nice hotel, old but recently totally rebuilt in a modern style, with a large indoor swimming pool.
It is well structured, excellent materials have been used, it is very clean, welcoming and comfortable. The reception staff are efficient and helpful.
Unfortunately there was an unpleasant smell coming from the bathroom which I can't say if it was usual or occasional due to the season or problems in the room itself
Inside there is a restaurant, not special but still discreet and with a helpful and kind waiter, as well as a bar.
The hotel has its own secure car park, about 200 meters away, which is essential in this city.
However, the location of the structure is in a somewhat seedy neighborhood, so it is advisable to avoid going out on foot at night.
However, if you have to come to Puntarenas it is certainly an excellent option with a fairly good quality/price ratio.

Excellent location, new and smells clean. Kindness of all the staff.
The only aspects to improve are the slightly small parking lot, although they offer a free alternative, it is two blocks away in an unsafe area, and also the music, which is very loud for the limited space of the hotel, is enclosed and is too distracting in the rooms.

Best price-benefit. Great location. Smooth and calm sleeping. Beds are really confortable. Air conditioning works better than many other's hotels in Puntarenas. Private Swimming Pool for all family members. Breakfast is good and the Bar/Restaurant with air conditioning is wonderful. Rooms are small, medium and large (pick your price, my suggestion for a couple is triple-person room (more space), the smallest (double) might be too small for none Costa Rican citizens. Attention from hotel service people is exceptional. You get a highly secure private parking spot for your car (the door is monitored by cameras and is open/close by lobby service agents). You may walk from the hotel to any other location at Puntarenas (beach, take boat tours, restaurants, have a churchill, and others).

My suggestion from 1 to 10 is a: 9.5 (on Dec 2022).

Excellent!

The hotel is very overpriced.
I recommend avoiding the hotel. Almost all the rooms are at the pool and all the time is very noisy.
The breakfast is poor and bad
Rooms inside are generally clean.
They changed us more than we should pay.
The surrounding area looks very dangerous.

I am not sure how this is hotel is listed as 4 star. This is 2.5 at best. Lobby is more like a hostel. the rooms are new and updated but super small and so are the beds. They charge additional for kids, but the beds are not double. We were tired and just needed clean beds which cost $140/night here. The room was like an oven when we arrived. it took couple hours to get comfortable. We expressed to the manager in the morning and only asked him to match our walk in rate to what they were offering the room in booking.com( less than our rate) which also charge them a fee. He gave us the run around, showed no managerial skills and demonstrated 0 customer service.

I highly recommend the hotel, from the moment you arrive, the attention, how you are received, the treatment, the facilities are very nice, comfortable and complete. For those of us who stay for work, it is 100% recommended. And I want to make special mention of Oscar's attention and treatment, a completely warm, kind, respectful human being, simply spectacular, makes you feel at home.

We celebrated our second anniversary and decided to stay in a jacuzzi suite, considering the additional cost. Unfortunately, when attempting to use the jacuzzi, we found that the air jets were extremely dirty, resulting in an extremely unpleasant experience.
Despite communicating with the managers and changing suites twice, we faced the same problem. It is disappointing to note that, in the second room, they did not even bother to check if the jacuzzi was clean or not, when in fact the same thing was happening. We appreciated their efforts in offering us dinner and late check-out as compensation, but the situation persisted in the third room. Although the impurities were in smaller quantities, after trying to fill the jacuzzi, it was dirty in the end. It is worth mentioning that we had to go through the inconvenience of collecting all our belongings and rearranging them three times due to three room changes.
Additionally, we experienced problems with the hot water supply, as it was not working properly in the third room, which contributed to the overall dissatisfaction of our experience.
The manager, Don Marcial, promised to provide us with a solution during our departure, recognizing the tension and frustration we experienced on our anniversary. However, after a week they sent us an email saying there was nothing more they could do for us.

A hotel with a different concept, although it is a little far from the beach, I must say that they care a lot about cleanliness, it always smells clean, the rooms are an adequate size.
One point to improve is the treatment of the water in the pool, they need to keep it a little more crystal clear, and the edges are very slippery and for adults it can present a problem.
The park is a problem because if it leaves they take away your space and you have to go to another one where they have an agreement and walk a lot and on unfriendly sides.
The food is very delicious and the bar is excellent, the service is very good..
