Its a cute place with friendly staff and a nice little pool to chill. The hotel is a good option, if you want to stay close to Manuel Antonio and rather want to relax for a night, but not pay too much. Rooms are great for a good sleep, other than that I would not spend much more time in...

The rooms were clean and tropical without being tacky. The staff was extraordinarily friendly and pura vida. Food was great. We are simple people and don't need much. Probably too much for the rugged backpack traveler and not enough for the posh ones. We loved it.

Although we weren't staying in the rooms (our adventure tour had us staying at a different hotel), the restaurant was great! American owned, with a Costa Rican kick ;) If you're looking for great, friendly, family-like atmosphere with great food, go to this place! Next trip to Costa Rica, we will be staying here, as the staff, the owners, everyone...

Hotel Mono Azul is on an uptrend after friendly new owners have taken over the business a few years back! We stayed for three nights & really enjoyed our visit. All the staff were very friendly & prompt with any answering any of our questions & spoke excellent English. The air conditioned room we stayed in was very spacious &...

My fiancé and I stayed at Hotel Mono Azul for 10 days in January, and all I can say is--wow! The owners, Paige and Jon, are the most accommodating hotel/restaurant owners I've ever met. They exceeded every expectation we had, and we are SO grateful for all that they did to make our time in Costa Rica so incredible. The...

This hotel is owned by an American family. The place is taken care of beautifully. There are lovely flowers and quirky art everywhere the eye can see. The rooms are spacious. The food was good and the bar was very welcoming. There are two different pools and an area to sit in the shade and visit with other guests, or...

Paige and Jon are some of the nicest people I have ever met on my travels. The hotel is excellent. The location is perfect. The troop of monkeys running around is the most surreal and cutest wake up call I have ever had. And the chicken soup is my favorite item on the menu. :)

It's a nice enough hotel. The outside is beautiful, the two pools are very nice and clean, but the shower towels always had weird stains on them. Also the food was hit or miss, we had grilled chicken that was amazing, breakfast was pretty good, but we had beef fajitas that were not good at all, almost no one at...

The hotel is called "Blue Monkey". They do have a lot of sloth, monkeys in their yards. The parking is right in front of the hotel, and its location is very convenient to go to the beaches. They are waiting for their new towel shipment, so the towel is a bit old. They also run out of shampoo... but their...

We stayed @ this place for three nights. John, Paige and Juan Carlos were very friendly. Dinner was surprisingly well-made. Rooms don't have safe deposit boxes, but passports and cash could be left with Paige or John.
