Just came back from an unforgettable week at Manuel Antonio. Villa la Macha was the ideal rental for a large family of 10. The 6 bedrooms were furnished with all necessary amenities and the master bedroom had a superb view. But the view was superb from almost every room. There was plenty of common space, a huge table where 12-14...

I've been back in the states for a little over a week now, and looking at my pictures from staying here just make so happy everyone. Jota and his family...absolutely amazing! It still seems surreal. I wish I had more hands, I would give this place 10 thumbs up!

We rented the entire villa and guest house for our family group of 13. It was amazing! The views are astounding. Monkeys came up to the house. An iguana lives under the deck and will eat bananas out of your hand. Toucans flyby. The staff is amazing, too. Jorta is extremely knowledgeable about the local area and can help you...

The place is absolutely amazing. Breathtaking view. Great pool. This place is awesome for large groups or few friends. Full staff with all your meals prepared for you. The food made at the house from Catia and Carmen was the best Spanish food I have ever had. Jota is your personal concierge. If you want to go zip lining, hiking,...

Pros: This villa has indescribably beautiful views of the Pacific ocean. I doubt I will ever rent a villa with nicer views of the ocean. The main floor has a beautiful deck overlooking the ocean. We ate dinner here every night watching unbelievably beautiful sunsets. We had frequent visits from troops of squirrel monkeys who came to pay us a...

Costa Rica has an average temperature of 85 degrees, our home is within the rainforest making it a very tropical climate. It usually takes a few days for guests to acclimate to the climate, especially if they are coming from a much colder area. The beauty of Villa la Macha lies with not only the breathtaking views but also the...

I just arrived home today from Costa Rica and I can't get Villa La Macha out of my mind. The location and view were unbeatable. So incredibly private with an insane view of the ocean. The staff, Jota, Katia and Carmen, were charming, kind, patient and helpful. There were 14 of us, 10 adults and 4 children including one 7...

We stayed 10 days at Villa La Macha with 3 separate families totaling 13 people. We had 3 kids under 7, an 11 & 13 year old and 8 adults. We all had a great time. The awesome staff prepared excellent meals. They even made tamales for us as our stay was over Thanksgiving. The villa is every bit as...

We were a larger group but there was so much space no one got in each others way. We were 4 sisters with 3 husbands. The cousins were under 10, 13, 15, and some 20 somethings. The teens loved the room on the lower level. The 20 somethings took over the guest house. Balconies, verandas, so many places to explore...

Both the house and the staff are incredible. First, Jota is one-of-a-kind. He has been at Villa la Macha for over 20 years and he knows the house inside and out. In the off season, he paints, stains and lovingly cares for the property. He was always there or a phone call away when we needed something. He didn't know...

My generous daughter rented Villa la Macha for a week. Eight of us were there: two grandparents, my daughter and her two daughters, ages 9 and 11, my other daughter, her wife and 19 month old daughter. There was a port-a-crib for the toddler. The house is so large that we didn't even use two of the bedrooms. There are...

Terry, Thank you so much for your wonderful review. I just wanted to clarify that we actually have 2 bedrooms that have air conditioning; the one below the main house and the 2nd bedroom in the guest house. I am so happy that you and your family had a great time at Villa La Macha and we hope to see...
