Big Bear Lake, California

The room and home was lovely, but the busy street right next to it was very unpleasant. I don't know what the other reviewers definition of peace and quiet is, but mine certainly doesn't include relentless loud engines noises. Not at all relaxing for me. I thought it was a little expensive as well.

I could not recommend Tierra Magica enough. We arrived after midnight after a grueling day of international travel, and our hosts were ready for us. The upstairs, king-bed room is amazing. Huge, beautifully appointed and with teak floors and ceilings. The huge tile bathroom was lovely as well. You know how cute this place looks in pictures? Its actually cuter...

We spent 3 nights in the hotel, the room was spacious and very comfortable. Located close to the center of old and new Escazu makes things very easy. Great breakfast and the hosts very friendly and helpful in recommending the attractions and restaurants nearby. Very positive experience and the rooms and hotel have beautiful and art and gardens. Will return!!!

For anyone that wants peace and quiet but needs to be in the Central Valley, this is the spot! Cozy, clean, quiet, walking distance to many amenities. A truly beautiful home! Barbara (your host) is extremely helpful and very attentive. I was in the Central Valley for work and found that this was a great place to charge my batteries...

This is a beautiful little B&B hidden from the world while located in the center of the city. Once inside there is no evidence of the city. The service was wonderful. The owner is very personable and speaks English. Breakfast is served anytime up until 9:30 and it is delicious, including fresh eggs, juice, bread and fruit. There is a...

We've stayed here twice as a convenience to the airport. Both times, our room was lovely and the breakfast was delicious. The hostess is a lovely lady and she even took us with her on her grocery run so we could fetch some dinner. Also, keep her posted if your arrival time changes. She likes to know when to expect...

Driving in Escazu is horrible. This B & B allows you to get to the town center, as well as some restaurants and stores, on foot. You won't see the whole town but there are cabs if you wish to go farther and the owner provides you with a list of suggested stops and estimated cab fare. There are only...
