Great hotel tucked away in the middle of the city. Great food, great help, clean rooms, free parking, free breakfast, and even better travel advice. Staying here anytime I fly into Costa Rica. ¡Pura Vida!

Hi Juliana, Love your title and the 5 dots ! Lots of couples stay to relax, refresh and recharge for a few days before heading out. A tall drink in the hot jacuzzi at Happy Hours is a great way to get there. Great you allowed us to assist you in your travel plans. My front desk staff is bilingual...

Hotel Santo Tomas is absolutely stunning! From the frame and tile work, to the pool and rec area, to the staff! I've been on a 20 day journey in Costa Rica and out of the 5 hotel I've stayed at, I've made sonto Tomas my home for the last week. This place is very clean, comfortable and luxurious. Not to...

Hi Sal A, Great review, thank you so much. We try very hard to keep it shiny and clean, those hard wood floors are polished three times a day in the lobby. Lots of clients stay here for dental work, take days tours in between their appointments and we offer a discount for multi night stays , just contact our...

My husband and I stayed here our first and last nights in Costa Rica. The location is great - easy walking distance to the city center. Making the reservation online was easy. The staff is helpful and friendly. We got great tips on where to eat and where to watch the soccer games and were able to join in the...

Hi Amy, Nice review , thank you so much. Lots of couples stay with us here, as well as many dental clients having work performed. Yes it's a real good location for day tours or just wandering around the city. One of the nice things to do when traveling is to sit in the parks or cafes and just observe...

My best friend and I, had been traveling through Costa Rica without having set hotel accommodations. I don't recall how we found this hotel, however, we couldn't have found a better hotel. Hotel Santo Tomas was definitely the most gorgeous and least expensive hotel we had stayed at during our travels in Costa Rica. We were glad to have spent...

The Hotel Santo Thomas is a hidden gem of a hotel with a private courtyard and beautiful pool area tucked into a gritty area of San Jose. We enjoyed the unique architecture with lots of detail and intricate decorations. The rooms are spacious with high ceilings. The included “typical Costa Rican” breakfast was tasty and filling including rice and beans,...

Hola SCtoNC, Wonderful review and your description of the hotel is quite accurate. We strongly suggest to leave the rental car at the agency until you are ready to start your travels . We stayed here for 3 nights(May 6-8th,2014) The hotel is clean and the staff very helpful. Breakfast was simple but filling. We thought the beer was too expensive, 4$ a bottle, unless you're there for happy hour. A fridge in the rooms is really needed. The meals at the restaurant were overpriced and need improvement. The hotel is very quaint....

Hi 1Travlers1, Thank you for the review, yes we do have a great location. Only four blocks from central avenue, but at the top of the city , before it steeply goes down to avenue 11, a real plus if you are a bit older or have a physical problem.
